- Very quiet and excellent ride, lots of power if you need it.
- Premium fuel, guzzles if you're a lead-foot
Purchased As New
Just leased a base model, only 300 miles on it. Very comfortable, plenty of room, quality build and materials, GL styling is welcome change from all of the suppository designs. Second choice was SRX - GM put the wrong motor in it, it's gutless. Nice inside though, and premium package is pretty loaded. Was concerned about resale and obsolescence, something you don't have to worry about with a Mercedes Benz. This is a luxury car, super nice to drive, easy to park, good visibility, plenty of room. Black MB-Tex (mercedes vinyl) is very nice, mine has brushed aluminum trim inside instead of high-gloss burl wood, a nice departure. Couldn't be happier. Averaging 18mpg in combined driving, shows 23-24 on the freeway. This is the fifth MBZ I have owned, so well familiar with their design and build philosophy. Durabilty and utility with lots of little luxury touches. The Q5 is rated higher, but dependability is in question. I will not forget the 100LS and 5000 - swore back then to never own an Audi. Had a Volvo, too stodgy, MDX is ugly, would not even consider a car from Korea - cheap and tinny. 50+ male owner/driver, wifey thought it was a bit ugly at first glance. Definitely grows on you, driving is the clincher.
