- ride comfort, space, interior design,
- exterior looks, LOW mpg, minor problems
Purchased As Used
we bought it as a CPO over a year ago. overall best value for the money. its prestige and drive comfort is far above a brand new Honda or Toyota. we had various minor problems such as latching of back door, sound in the windows, locks not visually going down... all of which were resolved quickly. I would be upset about those if it was a brand new car....read morehide

- Pretty & solid
- Too noisy, steering wheel returns tooooo slow, not much space to put your stuff
The steering wheel drives me crazy and I don't know how to solve this problem. It returns to center very slow, so many time I have to pull it back to avoid over turn, and it's dangerous!!
It's very noisy during our trip. It's as noisy as our old Dodge minivan - the minivan used to be more quiet when it was new though.
The space to place your person stuff is very limited considering a big car like this. Compared to Dodge minivan, the internal design for family convenience is very very poor.
The navigation system is poor, too. During our last trip, by the end it told us that it cannot tell us the direction turn by turn, so we have to use another portable GPS system bought before to figure out how to get there.
However, it's solid, starts fast & looks cool. It's the only kind of luxury minivan, and my material husband likes it. So what can I say?...read morehide

- Fuel efficient; sharp-looking
- blind spots; headrests in the way; too much glare in front windsheild
I actually like this car a lot; It's very different from what's on the road now so I get a lot of compliments on how "sharp" the car looks; it's easier to drive than the Yukon XL I just sold but....... It's difficult to see all the road around you. The head-rests and rear-view mirrors or wall panels always seem to be blocking my view. Don't get the DVD players. They hang off the headrests and are as big as the headrests and block visibility even more. There is no window tint in the top portion of the front windshield so the glare is horrible. Also don't try to go up a huge hill.....the engine is a little sluggish. I wish I had waited a few years to give Mercedes a chance to work out the bugs...after this is done the car will be PERFECT....read morehide

- distinctive styling in crossovers; super comfortable;
- 6 cyl inadequate; sluggish around town; lack of sunband on top of windshield; too much glare
I cannot understand why more of these are not seen on the road. I think it's one of the best best designed, with distinctive styling, crossover produced. I regret not getting the 8 cyl for around town driving. The 6 cyl seems inadequate on such a large, heavy vehicle. Mine is a 2006 and also wish it had the rear camera. Visibility uncomfortable when trying to back into spaces....read morehide

- Smooth Ride, Light steering
- No blue tooth
After test driving a few SUVs (Acura MDX, Cadillac SRX, Audi Q7, GL 450), ride of R350 was clearly the winner. It was closest to a car drive. The drive is so smooth and it is very easy to maneuver with a lght variable assist power steering.
Great value if you consider it is more than 10K $ cheaper than GL 450 and still has a better handling.
Things like rear view camera and park tronics really help, but no blue tooth in this luxury vehicle!! Leather seats are also not standard.
This is my first MB, and I bought an extended warranty for the peace of my mind.
Very satisfied overall....read morehide

- smooth ride, lots of safety features, great for the wife and kids
- LONG...this vehicle is very long...but on the plus, long=roomy
I just brought home the 2008 R350 today for my wife and kids, It is a pretty car, don't get it in black or it might definitely be mistaken for a hearse! but overall, lots of nice features, the HK sound system is phenominal! Rear seat entertainment is great for the kids on those longer than normal trips...has a bit of pep for being 4700+ lbs....read morehide
