Great car, have 5000 miles on it so far. No issues thus far, diesel can be a little rough at idle but very smooth and powerful acceleration. Navigation system is no as easy to use as other manufacturer models but its acceptable. I absolutely love this car but at 90k I should.

I have owned many MBs over the years dating back to a 600SEL 6.3 that I took European delivery on when I was in college then sold it immediately to net out a short Tour. If I hadn't sold it I would have been scrrewed. This of course is the best. (I didn't say most classic) There is nothing to complain about. The power is great as is the fit and finish. I have always purchased the smallest V8 and have never been able to outdrive the car. Why anyone would need a 63 or 65 is beyond me. I have driven this car 150 mph on a closed course on track day and that is fast enough for me. I few things they still need to work on is the I-Pod interface and the complexity of the radio controls. I leased a '12 S65 AMG for a week while in Hamburg and I'm really glad I went for it instead of a Bentley Flying Spur. The speed of this 2.5 ton road-yacht is phenomenal. No wonder it supplies at any speed or gear given its 1000 N.M TORQUE. I was going to buy one last year but I went for the Ghost as i figured I better wait for next year's new generation S-Class. I traded-in my 2007 LEXUS LS460L and add $130k for this car,compare to the LEXUS LS, it is more powerful and comfortable, but the phone system and the GPS are diffical to control, the nightview is great.

Traded a 2011 BMW 750Li for this 2012 S550. No comparison......Benz is faster, handles much better (agile without rigidity) and is a lot more comfortable. This was a good trade!!!!!
