For those who want a manual transmission on this car I can explain why it would be a BAD idea. The SL65 AMG (What you listed as talking about) has a V12 Twin-Turbo. As you think of how fast that goes I'll tell you that the 5-speed automatic is the best thing for the car. If this was a manual you would need like 10 gears... Don't say "But it only goes up to 6", there can be a lot of gears. Now you could probably go 60mph in first gear with 6,000 rpm, and that's not a good thing. I took a V6 Twin-Turbo out for a spin once with some friends and it was in second gear going 85mph around 5,000 RPM. Now it would need 10 gears to control the speed so the power per gear is adaquate. So if you take a bit and think... Would you really want 10 gears? Next time you want to look into a sporty car find out what SMT is. =)
