- Massive torque, exhaust note, chick mag, hardtop convertible
- Too easy to kick the rear end out around corners
Previously owned the Boxster S and 911 Turbo Cab. This is so much more FUN to drive. Purists may object to the weight but the engineering makes it work and you just don't notice. There's something magical about that engine; makes me smile every time I fire it up. The exhaust note is reminiscent of Detroit muscle, but it's attached to a transmission and suspension that really lets you rocket around. And I'll tell you there's something special about the first time you mash the pedal on the entrance ramp while you're already going 40 and you STILL break the rear tires loose. Torque is your friend and has been sadly lacking for many years with the exception of the Viper.
I bought a used '07 with 6,000 miles on it, saved about $30k off sticker. The first year depreciation on these is killer so would recommend that route to others.
