- Great handling on curves. Plenty of power and smooth acceleration.
- Front disc brakes do dirty up the laced wheels.
Purchased As Used
Purchased as used in 2008. I am the second owner and am approaching 95K miles. This is my second used Grand but the best. It is the best road car I have ever owned. I agree that following proper maintenance is the key to good performance and I expect this car to go the distance.

Purchased As New
Purchased brand new off the showroom floor with 5 miles. Aspen Green with rare optioned bucket seats, center console and floor shift. Optioned offered June of 2002 after the Marauder introduction was moved to 2003. Left over interiors were installed in 2002 Marquis LSE because of platform changes from 2002 to 2003. Also optioned with dual exhaust and load leveler suspension. At 100,000 miles still with the original 2002 factory battery, very low maintanence with only oil changes every 5,000 miles and trans service at 50,000 miles. Driven on several long trips and the best mileage to date was 28 mpg on the highway with a V8. On 3 occasions I have had Marquis owners talk to me about how much they enjoy their Marquis and that is all from 2000 to 2010. One occasion was 3 Marquis owners on a long trip to Vegas and we all told how much we enjoy the luxury and comfort of the car. I just installed my 3rd set of new tires, still have the original brakes and drives awesome. Great performance from the 238 hp 4.6 V8, excellent handling and fun to drive. After all these years and miles it did need some tightning of interior door screws which stopped all squeeks. The floor shift works excellent, car is always outside and paint is still excellent along with the interior. I get many compliments on the car about its looks and how nice the interior is, most are amazed at the floor shift and center console. Highly recommend this great American ICON of a car very underated and overlooked fine automobile. Basic maintanence keeps it running great....read morehide
