- Excellent safety ratings, great ride, good handling, excellent fuel economy (23.5 City & 30 HWY)
The Grand Marquis represents an incredible value. We looked at the Camry, Altima and Maxima and none of them even came close on value. The Grand Marquis has a reputation for reliability and low maintenance costs for thousands less than the imports.
This is the most comfortable car that I have owned. Gas mileage is very good for a full size vehicle (23.5 City & 30 Highway). It has top safety ratings in all categories.
Do yourself a favor and test drive one of these before you decide to buy an import....read morehide

- Great fuel economy for the size of the car, safe, roomy and great ride
My 2005 Grand Marquis GS is a wonderful dependable car. For the money there really is not much out there that can compare to the value, gas consumption, safety and styling. I have to admit, I prefer American made Vehciles over the imports, I listen to friends with imports and how much the repair work is on them, I guess I'd rather get 25mpg in a full size American sedan than 30 mpg in a small import and then end up paying more for service, false economy. Back to the Mercury.......This is my third Marquis and I have never had any major problems with them, I drive an average of 25, 000 mile each year and I have to say that between the comfort and power of the car I am very satisfied. I plan on trading this one in later on in 2007 or early 2008.....I just hope Mercury will still make this wonderful car for many years to come....read morehide

- best car for the mony: $s = pounds. very solid, roomy ,very comfy.
- rear traction in snow ???
electronic traction control not very effective. would like locking Differential(posi traction better).Otherwise the best buy available. Had a Crown Vic. before-basicly the same, but hard to come by. Police and Gov.Agencies by them up. Hope they keep make these models in the future.

- Have a 2001 Grand Marquis LS -- 29 - 30 mpg on interstate w/cruise control at 75 - 80
Love this car -- drive 30 - 40 k per year in rural West Virginia -- plenty of power on two-lane highways to pass coal and lumber trucks without worrying about head-on collision with the on-coming traffic, and it also cruises well on the interstate. It also drives relatively well in the snow -- just go slow and easy -- no quick acceleration and no hard braking -- no problem. When this one wears out, I'll buy a new one, so long as it still has the V8 and is full-size -- I am 6'4" tall and I can stretch out in the driver's seat and not feel cramped and jammed like in a smaller car -- hate to drive my wife's Honda van after I have been in this car!...read morehide

- Powerful V-8, Price, Ride, big trunk
- none, great value
This is a good car for the price. Lot's of power, great highway ride and the trunk is the largest in it's class also it's about 20-25,000 dollars less than the Lincoln Town Car with the same options.

- a stylish american car with power and maneuverability to match it.
my last two cars were foreign-compact-cars. so i thought this is about time that i get a big american car. after a grueling research, i have concluded that there is no american car being manufactured currently that offers what mercury grand marquis does: power, maneuverability, and nice style (that is american; not foreign-car-wanabe - i am afraid lincoln cars as well as other american cars are headed towards this direction) and lots of it! sure, there is the ford crown victoria that is basically the same in construction (being a ford car, naturally), however, grand marquis 07 is a much more stylish car; let the cops and taxi drivers be content with crown victoria....read morehide

- Smooth ride, very dependable, always ready to go, excellent fuel economy for its size!
I recently purchased from my ex neighbor a '92 Mercury Grand Marquis LS. It is a one owner car with 110 thousand miles. The car rides like new and it gets excellent gas mileage for a car this size.
I would definetely buy a new Grand Marquis in the future.

- vehicle size, trunk space, value, styling, freeway ride, reliability
- Ride a little choppy on rough minor roads.
This car is an amazing value for the money. I also drive Cadillacs, but they cost up to twice that of a Marquis. Sure the Caddy rides nicer and has fancier appointments and more power, but I still love driving my '00 Grand Marquis. With its white paint, we call it the family "squad car." My Merc is loaded with features. Other than routine maintenance, the only repairs have been the outside keypad and the blower switch assembly. A good, old fashioned, sound American car....read morehide

- 28 MPG on highway, 22-23 combined, comfort, smooth, what a trunk
- more road noise than I would prefer
I really can't imagine a better value. This is as fine a road car as can be had. Like most small displacement engines, the revs need to be spooled up to realize passing performance. However, 1st gear really gets the car moving and the overall amenities are superior. I travel 40K miles a year and this is a real road warrior's car. Should get 200K with no problem. Lose the compact spare though....read morehide
