- Unresponsive, underpowered, too soft, very weak headlights
We hired this car from Avis when they didn't have anymore Full size (this is classed as a premium car). I found this car to be unresponsive and vastly underpowered for the size of the thing. The headlights were like two candles in a cathedral, next to useless. The V8 is vastly underpowered and guzzles gas far quicker than I would have liked. Shape and form is horrible, like something from the uninspired '80s. Trunk looks vast, but actual usable space is smaller than that found in some compacts due to the layout. Braking was dangerous as it was unresponsive compared to the German and Japanese competition. Suspension is far too soft, you have no sense of the ground you are travelling on and the handling is like steering a containership in a small harbor. In all, I cannot believe that people actually buy rubbish like this when there are so many better options out there. Sure, I would love to buy American, but only when American means I will be driving in a safe, comfortable, responsive, fuel efficient car, which this is far from being. Absolute rubbish.
