Purchased As Used
I bought a year old LS still under warranty, and factory certified for half the price of new. I bought this car so we would have a safe, comfortable, reliable car for our periodic 300+ mile trips to visit family, as well as a grocery getter for my wife. The merc is my wife's' pride and joy. She loves the adjustable pedals, she is 5'2 and I'm 6"4. I keep pretty good records, and we have averaged 22.4 MPG since we bought this car, not bad for a full sized car. I could go on about why we love this car, but it it may be more beneficial to point out what I feel are shortcomings. The radio. Does ford think that no one over 50 has an mp3 player or wants to add satellite radio? The Grand Marquis does not even have an optional aux in available. The placement of the radio. The placement of the radio was moved on the newer Grand Marquis from lower on the dash, to higher up where you must lean forward to reach the controls. The cup holders rub the side of my knee when open. With the addition of an aftermarket radio, and cup holders this car is perfect for us. Would definitely buy again!
