After exhausting all efforts to find a Ford Freestar we decided to look at the Monterey. I am still amazed at the differences we found and keep finding between the 2. I can't say enough about it. It has met our every expectation and then some. The ride and handleing are beyond Mini-van and how quiet it is on the hiway is something you don't expect out of a base model vehichle. We wanted to take advantage of the Ford Family Plan rebates that were being offered and had exhausted all efforts to find something in a Freestar and just by luck came accross this one lonely Monterey. The sales staff at Dahl Automotive in LaCrosse Wisconsin were the BEST. Not pushy in any way, very interested in our needs and went above and beyond to help us get into this vehichle.
The performance this vehichle has is awsome, for you motorheads out there, it is a sleeper. The handleing is more like a luxury car than a van or suv. The standard equipment on this model (the convinence model) which is the low end of the Monterey's far surpasses any of the lower end fords. Happy Motoring.
