I don't know why American car manufacturers don't fight back against all the BS about German and Japanese cars. These cars can be and for the most part, are crappier than US made cars. I owned a Mercedes 300SEL that was burning and leaking oil after 75000 miles, the lights burned out constantly, the exhaust system developed leaks that required a $900 repair, and it rattled. I had a Honda accord that had a front end shimmy that the dealer couldn't fix, so he called it "road nibble"! A susuki Grand Vitara had the same problem, and the dealer couldn't fix it. The muffler fell off my Toyota pickup after 50,000 miles-they all stink!
I now own a Mercury Sable. It has great power, superb handling, gets great gas mileage,is trouble free. Keep buying those others-they keep the price of much better American cars down- thanks guys!
