I'm 6'2 and have sat in my girlfriends Mini hardtop, which proved to be tight. The Countryman's space is more than adequate and have no issues with comfort. The base model is around 4-5K less than the S version and cannot justify paying that much more for a version that may go a little faster. The best feature of this vehicle is the space provided in the back when you put the seats down.
The biggest annoyance is with the standard transmission. Reverse is located right next to 1st gear, so on more than one occasion, I have accidently gone backwards at a stop light. At times I try to avoid reverse and actually start in 3rd. It is a pain
Overall, it's a great little car with more room than any other Mini. It has great gas mileage and would recommend to those who like the looks of the Mini with a bit more space...read morehide
