- Amazing fuel economy/ great response/ solid frame
Purchased As Used
Bought this car used 5 months ago and am having a blast! I commute 400 miles to work, and this car makes it worth it. I'd rather drive my MINI than fly any day! The fuel economy is unbelievable and it's a lot roomier than it looks from the outside. This is the 1st manual transmission I've had in 13 years, and it's definitely the way to go for a cooper. Great car!...read morehide

- Fuel economy, Automatic wipers, I like just about everything on my Mini.
- Seats can not be adjusted that much. Warranty
I really love this car and would purchase another. I wish the seats had more ways to adjust them. You basically only have up/down, forward/backward, and recline. Some type of lumbar adjustment would be nice. This car gets good MPG's and has style too. I would order the next one with a stick shift. I got the automatic because the wife can not drive a manual transmission. I also think I would order the "S" next for the added fun factor. Also I wish they had longer factor warranty 3 yrs 36,000 miles is a little weak in my opinion....read morehide

- great fuel economy, very zippy around town,
- too many people want to talk to me about how cute the car is--lol
I am on my second Mini and I love my Mini. The people at my dealership in West Palm Beach are always helpful and professional. I would not reccomend this car to people who need to carry alot in the trunk, but otherwise it is an excellent car.

- Great on gas and I look awesome in it.
- I have no cons.
I just recieved my new 2008 MINI Cooper here in Germany and I love it. I have had to be a at home mom for the last four years and wanted a car that said I was still sexy but great for my son and I. This was the perfect choice for me. I looked at so many other cars but those cars said just mommy mobile, so I needed something that felt a little more Fabulous and the MINI Cooper says just that. Way to go BMW for coming up with this sporty and sexy car....read morehide

- 35 mpg around town, 43 mpg highway. Cutest car on the road. Well designed.
- rubber trim near hatch came loose. 2 minutes and some glue fixed that.
I got Gwenevere (2008 MC, Mellow Yellow w/black roof) May 31st. It already has over 6000 miles on it. If we are going further than 20 miles from home we take the Mini instead of the Altima because the mileage is better (although the Altima does well).
This car is like a go cart with AC and a stereo. Corners at 30? Traffic circles at 45? Not a problem....read morehide

- Fun to look at and drive. Excellent gas mileage. Reasonably comfortable for its size.
- Base radio has poor sound quality
Overall an excellent package. Fun to drive. Relatively easy stick shift to operate (revs match gear changes nicely in 1st - 4th, not 5th and 6th...revs drop rapidly while changing gears).
The ride of the base car is much more comfortable without the run flat tires. I also like having a spare tire and reasonable tire replacement costs (run flats are expensive to replace).
Acceleration with the base engine is more than acceptable. In city driving I never miss the power, however highway acceleration can feel lacking at times and may sometimes require downshifting (and that is fun!). Its fast enough, but not lose your license fast like the Cooper S.
My only complaint is with the poor sound quality of the radio. I am not an audiophile, however this is simply a lousy, bottom of the barrel radio that boarders on unpleasant to listen to. The upgraded radio package might be worth considering.
Overall, I really like this car. If you can resist checking the boxes on the order form you can end up with an excellent, fun base car for about $19,000. Bottom line...I like my Mini!...read morehide

- (S model)quick, excellent handling, dependable, decent gas mileage,
- Low ground clearance presents a problem in snow, limited passenger room,
I've had my 2004 Mini Cooper S for just under 4 years and I love it. In fact I don't think I've ever had a car that I liked driving as much as my Cooper. Once I test drove the "S" model I was hooked and two months later I came back to the dealer and ordered one. When it's no longer running and has given out I'll trade it in and buy another brand new Mini Cooper S in a heartbeat. I've had no problems with it mechanically and it's a dream to drive....read morehide

- Outstanding style, great fuel economy, fun to drive
- Tough on your bum in long distance drive
Bought my '06 Mini, used with 8k miles on it in Jan '08. Love the style, the manageability, the MILEAGE! I've had no problems with it to date. Gas mileage averages 38 in town and 41 on highway. What is not to love? The difficult transition from driving a full sized pick-up truck to the Mini was happily overshawdowed by the element of fun! For those of you who are closterphoebic-try it before you pass it over!...read morehide

- Fuel economy, very fun to drive, eye catcher, solid build
- Got the base model, it's pretty quick, but I would like a little more.
An absolute blast to drive. This is the ultimate fun car. I am very impressed with BMW's build quality on this car. It is as solid as a car comes, no squeaking anywhere. The upgraded interior leather is really nice. Bluetooth and Sirius are awesome in this car. Handling is second to none. You would be hard pressed to find ANY car at ANY price level that can handle like these things.
Fuel economy is a freak show. Averaging over 40 mpg right now in the city. Basically it's cut my fuel expense in half!
Abviously, this is a Mini...so, there is very little room if you need to haul anything. It does have 4 seats, but it's a 2 seater. Don't let anyone tell you differently. However, they have been extremely creative in using the small amount of trunk space that you have.
It's not just for "little" people. I am a 6'2 male and fit very comfortably in this car....read morehide

- Excellent runabout for a second auto. Great fuel economy, virtually no maintenance.
- The nearest dealership is 60 miles away. That's really not a problem as the car has not needed work.
We bought our '04 Mini to replace "Mom's station wagon", the grocery getter and kid hauler. It has accomplished all these jobs without a problem. We have not had any maintenance issues in 4 years and the car has held its value beyond expectations. It can be a little bumpy for longer rides as it transfers the road feel right to your seat. 100 miles is about my limit for comfort, but for the purposes we bought it it serves well. The car is accessorized well for an inexpensive auto and it gets around well in winter conditions much to our surprise. The car is not an expensive sports car, but far from an enclosed golf cart too....read morehide
