I've had my Mini for 2 1/2 years and love it just as much today as the day that I bought it. It runs great, is safe, reliable and so much fun to drive. Whether it's a trip across town or across the state, I love getting behind the wheel. Over the years I've owned Toyotas, a Jeep, and a Pontiac but this is the first car I've owned that people come up to me and say "I love your car". All I can say back is "So do I!"...read morehide

- Zips around corners and is a blast to drive. Great gas mileage. It looks amazing...inside and out.
- Very small back seat. Small boot (trunk). Cup holders are a little less than desirable.

I bought my MINI brand new about two and a half years ago. I ordered it and got exactly what I wanted. MINIs only drink the premium stuff, but it doesn't really matter. I've done the math, and this car still pays for itself fairly quickly. In fact, I'm planning to return to grad school and started to sell the MINI about a year ago "to save money." As a musician I needed more room as well, so I thought I'd get an SUV for instruments and such. (I have a lot of them to move around.) I put the car on the internet and everything, but I couldn't part with my MINI. I just love this car! Plus, like I said, I did the math, and this car pays for itself fairly quickly. An SUV doesn't, and to be honest, you can fit quite a bit in this car when you put the seats down. (The seats lie down flat, unlike most small cars I've encountered. This really does give you much more room.) I've loaded this car down with a drum set before. It regularly carries saxophones and guitars. Anyway, storage space is really pretty amazing considering this car's size. I honestly can’t imagine it being any better. Less space is just one of the negatives when owning a small car. The big plus is gas mileage. I normally get between 30 and 36 MPG. I know that's a wide range, but it all depends on how hard I drive it. The more supercharger you use, the more gas you use. This car has been very dependable. Other than little dumb stuff, I've had no problems. In fact, I've only had to use my warranty twice. Once, for a cracked window. (I hit a bump and the windshield cracked. The people at Jackie Cooper were nice enough to replace it.) The other was a back window washer. It had a little leak. That's been it. I will say that if you're planning to get a MINI, you should look into getting some strut towers reinforcement plates. The strut towers can mushroom, and the plates will help prevent it. I bought the M7 strut tower brace and plates shortly after buying my MINI and have had no problems with this phenomenon. This car is truly amazing in so many ways. After driving one for a while you begin to take it for granted...until you drive another car. Once that happens you quickly miss everything...from performance...all the way down to the chubby little steering wheel. My favorite thing about this car is how sprite it is. It’s quick, and it handles like a dream. I’m going to drive this car until the wheels fall off. :)...read morehide

I've had my Mini for over a year now and not a day goes by where I don't stare at it and think of how much I love it. There are absolutely no regrets with this car! It is extremely safe and very reliable. The S model is quick- the power is unbelievable, and driving through the city or country is a breeze. I've driven lots of cars, and very few handle as well as this one... ANYWHERE, be it windy mountain roads or crowded downtown streets. The only complaint I've ever had is that the car came with run-flats, which are nice (and safe), but don't do so well on the highway (it may feel like a rough trip); however, I put regular tires on it and it handles better than ever now! This car is a BMW through and through- well built, beautiful, and belongs on the road with someone who loves driving....read morehide

- Absolutely a blast to drive!
- Get's overlooked on the freeway by the stupid rednecks in the F150's

OMG! I traded in a classic Camaro for my MINI Cooper S. I will NEVER go back to American cars! I picked the Supercharged 2008 6-speed. I love the SPORT feature that tightens up the handling and kicks up the ZIP-FACTOR to about 100! My Cooper S tops out at 148 without a hiccup! No problem with acceleration or braking. Handles like a true roadster.
Parking is a breeze, it fits in a spot designated for Motorcycles Only in my office parking!
I recommend this car for anyone who loves the wind in their hair, and an open road ahead of them!
Just remember, while the Semi-Trucks keep an eye out for the smaller cars, most idiot rednecks who drive pick-ups can't seem to get their mirrors adjusted to see this small of a car! While this is not a fault of the Cooper, it is a down-side....read morehide
