This car handles like a road racing slot car. It is extremely fun to drive. Might be a rough ride for some but I enjoy the handling trade off. I have the five speed manual. Wish it had the six speed manual transmission. It is not the fastest on the block but it is a good trade off with fuel economy. You can jerk the steering over into the next empty lane of traffic and this car won’t lean but stay stable and upright. Something I would be afraid of doing in most other cars....read morehide

They don't make them anymore.....I am renting one on August 2012.....I was in a car accident so I needed A rental Car ..The Rental Place....snowballed me they said they were giving me a Free UpGrade.........I was suckered...but i Love the Car anyways...You can Use Both 92-93 grade or 87-89 grade gasoline in the 2.4 engine.......and Get the Power of the 6 cylinder and the Gasoline economy of the Four cylinder........Sad they don't make them anymore........read morehide

This is my 3rd Eclipse and I love them. Can count on 1 hand how many times I had to take all three of them in for repairs other than general maintenance. I have over 80,000 miles on this and only took it in for oil changes. I do a lot of highway driving so maybe that's why I never had to get new brakes on any of them. Only thing I don't like is it sits so low, not very comfortable on long trips and too many blind spots but will definitelty buy another one when I need to....read morehide

Look is fantastic, always gets noticed and complimented. Sporty handling, slipping back when pushed to the extreme but forgiving in case of abuse. Average power for the 4 cyl.Breaks?? no break. Effective braking but resent efforts, wear quickly. Happy to own one but do not redeem

I loved this car the moment I saw it. After the drive I was hooked. The only thing this car needs is a coin holder. It's very frustrating not having a place to put your change.

Tried one out for a good hour or so and am left with the feeling that this company could do so much more with this body style--just a flat power curve and old/outdated transmission feel...you will find, if you drive it that there is little difference between this 2012 and a 1998 model....Also to even mention this car in the same sentence as an Evo--is nutty--this car is no Evo...and, 28 mpg hwy for a "4" is not really that good....car needs mechanical overhaul and some substantial investing by Mitsu to be competitive in 2012....read morehide

Tried out the Eclipse and I was immediately exhilarated by the driving performance it gives, the astonishing comfort, aesthetic looks, excellent fuel consumption for a performance sports car, reasonable price and unbelievable warranty of 10 years/100,000 miles

I love the Mitsubishi Eclipse lines and performance, not forgetting the affordable price and warranty compared with others in its class or category. The athletic manufacturing robots playing to assemble the Eclipse needs to be back in the commercial . Needs more advertising just like the 2009 commercial that robots building the car and passing the tires around & great song! I have confidence in Mitsubishi long experience in building cars (94 years in Japan) and they continue to produce fuel efficient with very good power plants that amazes me, just like the Mitsubishi Evolution X 2.0 liter engine that produces 291hp with tremendous acceleration and power....read morehide
