2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor User Reviews
Limited AWD shown
- $5,498 - $9,167
- Drives like a car, very comfortable leather seats, AWESOME warranty, and GREAT price for an SUV!
- Not many dealerships & shifter doesn't light up.
This is my first SUV and I absolutely LOVE it!! I previously owned a "2000" Accord EX. It didn't drive very well in the snow. So I decided to shop around for an AWD SUV. I had my mind set on an 06' Highlander
but it was a bit pricey. I shopped around and test drove an 05' Pilot and an 06' C-RV and they were just not what I was looking for. I was introduced to a Mitsubishi 04' Endeavor. I never even heard of it. I test drove one and loved the way it handled. It drove smoothly just like a car. Front and back seat is very comfortable and roomy , nice stereo sound, and liked the exterior as well as interior. I ended up buying a new 05' LS Endeavor that had heated and leather seats already put in. I feel very safe driving this SUV especially in snowy weather. It drives awesome in the snow! I definitely recommend consumers to get the Endeavor! You don't need to spend a lot to get a great SUV that looks and drives beautifully!...read morehide

- Handles great, a little above average MPG, great sound system, fantastic blue dash lighting
- Sunroof leaks with the force of the air dryer at car wash.
This is my second Endeavor. I had a used 04. I just got a new 05 just because I like the outside trim better than the 06. The blue dash lighting is AWESOME..! Handles great around town and is comfortable on long trips. Nice wide center armrest. Two front power outlets for charging electronics. An "A" overall....read morehide

- Excellent Performance in wet weather, snow and ice! Good fuel economy. Great looks and styling!
- I wish the power window and door locks were lit up at night.
I drove the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander and the Ford Explorer. I could have purchased any one of them, price was not a factor. I think the Endeavor was an easy choice, what a great vehicle and value! 100,000 mile drive train warranty! Did excellent in the crash tests. What else could you want? This is definately the best crossover SUV on the market, especially if you consider the price. I am very happy!...read morehide

- We loved driving this vehicle, which we rented last week in Florida. We are rethinking our options.
- For me, the driver's seat was uncomfortable because it did not adjust. It seemed to slope downward.
The driver's seat put pressure on my lower back. In a very short time, I was uncomfortable. Otherwise, we loved everything about this vehicle, especially the energy it displayed on unfamiliar freeways. There is ample room for a tall person.

- Cargo Room, Warranty
- Preminum fuel, brakes, please see below
I bought my Endeavor in March 2005 and I will never buy another Mitsubishi again. When I first received the car they had to fix a broken cargo net in the truck on drivers side. A couple of months later my check engine light came on and I had to have a part (emissions gauge) replaced. Now 10 months later, my trip odometer will not reset and the dealer is telling me they have to order a whole new cluster and take my old one and ship them both off to New York and have the new one set and then shipped back. Needless to say I will be without a car for at least 3 days. I am just grateful it is all covered by warranty.
Also fighting with Mistubishi to get a rental car for the time my car will be in the garage....read morehide

- Xcellent hotel on wheels, fast and nimble, responsive handling.
- Gas mileage in the upper teens.
Rented one for 40+ days while doing doing relief work in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Had all the supplies I needed stored in the back plus I was able to lay a sleeping bag out and have all the room I needed. 12v outlets are in abundance, so an electronic junkie can have all they power they need to run their laptops, phones, etc. Ran a two outlet UPS almost on a consistant basis and had no problems with power issues. Pad-eyes were also a welcome relief. Shipping containers were able to be secured with minimal effort. Insta-manual shift on the fly was great too, very versatile. Fuel economy wasn't that great. Logged over 3500 miles in the 40+ day period and spent a butt load of cash on gas. All in all, the experiance I had with the rental convinced me to buy one; 2005 Limited....read morehide

- Very comfortable and roomy interior, Nice dash and stereo, Good cargo room
- Interior squeaks around passenger door when you hit bumps
I have owned my 2005 Endeavor for two months and absolutely love it! I get a consistent 20 mpg (city and highway combined), love the interior cargo/leg/headroom, and am very happy with the dash and stereo system. This is my second Mitsubishi and I have had nothing but exceptional satisfaction with the brand. The only other SUV I test drove was the Pilot (it just didn't do it for me like the Endeavor did). I would highly recommend this vehicle!...read morehide

- VERY smooth SUV that goes over bumps very nicely.
- The mileage is not up to par but it is an SUV, can't expect much over mid-teens.
I got this car for a rental for 2 1/2 weeks because of an accident I was in. I drive sports cars so this was a big change for me. The SUV seems MUCH larger then it really is. The inside seems very large compared to other SUV's I have been in. Tranmission shifts very smooth, plus the option to shift yourself is a nice touch when going down large hills in a car that weights 5,000 pounds. Rear seats have plenty of room for any passenger that sits back there. Handling is not up to my standards, but I also drive a Porsche everyday. The sound system is really good too. Throw in your favorite CD and just rock on!...read morehide
