- Appearance, SE package includes A LOT of features
- No seat belt or child seat attachment for middle seat, torque steering
I just bought my SE 2WD on Friday (it is now the following Monday). We took it on a 250-mile road trip over the weekend to break it in. I am a sports car driver at heart, but my 9-month-old baby and two big dogs have now turned me into an SUV owner against my will. The Endeavor is winning me over, though. I really like the fact that this doesn't look just the same as all the other plain SUV's out there. I also love the cool blue illumination on the dashboard and the center console. The information display is GREAT, giving you a compass, clock, your fuel economy, elevation, average speed - all kinds of information.
I also like the sound system that comes standard with the SE package. In general, I was impressed at the long list of features you get standard with the SE.
One thing I don't like about the car so far (other than that it is not a sports car!!) is that it doesn't have a seat belt or a set of child seat anchors for the middle seat in the back. How bizarre - every mid-size sedan in the world has three sets of seat belts in the back seat, but this large vehicle doesn't. Very disappointing, since that is the safest place to put a child seat. The other thing I don't like is the strong torque steering effect - when you really step on the gas, the car very noticeably pulls to the side. I understand that the 4WD version doesn't do that.
All in all, I think this car is a good looking SUV that gives a lot of value for the money.
