- made for drivers
- none - you want smooth, quiet and a cushy interior? stay in your living room
Owned for just over a year. Kept it stock, quite fast enough and warranty is still good. Cant possibly drive it to the limit, but it's fun trying. The VIII and MR are very nice but RS attracts less attention, especially from highway patrol.

- Strong acceleration, handling, AWD
- Uncomfortable, bumpy ride, too low, interior quality, fuel consumption, noise
The car is great if you use it on the track or in the highway. Not for the city with bad roads.

- No Radio
I have had this car for a month now. At first the car seemed too fast for me, but I am now accustomed to the acceleration, and I want more! It's funny how cars like this feel so awesome, but in the end leave you wanting more power. I am not going to mod my car as I value the warranty. Handling is top notch, but you really have to keep both hands on the wheel at all times while driving this car or it will get away from you. Ruts and bumps will send you off line very quickly with only one hand on the wheel. Quality of the car is very high all around. A radio would be nice in the car, but I haven't put one in yet. I may just keep this baby all stock save the all season mats I bought. I think this is the ultimate city car. You can squirt in and out of traffic easily, and you can leave most any car behind when you need to. Really cool is that the RS comes with the gauge package (boost, oil temp, voltage), aluminum shift nob, and aluminum pedal covers. These are options you have to pay for on the VIII....read morehide

- ridiculously quick (after 3300 rpm). seemingly indestructible engine. f-1 handling.
- yugo-like interior quality. "tinny" feeling gearbox. noisy high-pitch engine
Ok, here's the deal....I purchased a '99, 911 Carrera 3 months before a friend of mine purchased an 05 evo rs. By virtue of auto pedigree I believed it a moot point to merely "ride" in his entry-level looking econo-box. He had been trying to get me in it for 2 months to no avail.....finally, to shut him up, I relented and buckled up for a beer run with a "let's get this over" disdain. Seats were ok, intereior was hideous, and the engine made a revolting high shrill noise like a blender when he cranked and reved it. Making our way to the freeway, I noticed he kept it below 3000 rpms. always shifting up. As we hit the acceleration ramp, out of the side of my eye I saw him slightly tense up as he peaked the engine and dumped the clutch..... I forgot everything I previousely thought about this machine, I mean everything; the cheapy look, the "made by mattel" sound, everything. very stable at 100, but noisy. Most "fun" car I can remember driving. After some initial orientation with the car your confidence behind the wheel triples, steering is better than porschelike....never felt more in control of a machine. The throws were nice and short like the porsche but the gearbox felt like it was going to wear out quick. the grip at take-off was suprising (no wheelspin, or wasted energy, it just bolted) the pull was so intense and unforgiving that I forgot to shift, redlining it and thoroughly chapping my cronies nads. the car seemed to sit down and grip harder when cornering. (Don't know how they managed that)
Below 2500 rpms it's a well mannered base model honda civic without shocks. after 2500 rpms.....Enzo himself would smile. If you want to get 30 miles to the gallon, don't take it over 3000rpm, after that your lucky if you get 14 mpg. Only an expert driver can take this car to it's limits. If I tried I would end up in jail or the morgue.
The more I drove the sicker I got. (we both spent about the same, and I'm feeli...read morehide

- Faster than Subaru WRX STI based on road rally.
- dont like the shark fins...(optional anyways)
Driven by professional drivers on road rally between Subaru STI and EVO MR, Ive seen that the Evo is much faster than the STI for 3 secs. 3 secs is a big difference.

This car is totally awesome everything about it is great (except for the gas and ride comfort). But after a while i guess you'll get used to the ride.
