Purchased As New
It's now July 2011, no major repairs, in fact the only thing I have paid for other than regular inspections is a new pair of tires. I made sure to get the same tires with better threads, but wonderful overall. I have refused to trade the car in under any circumstance. Loved it in 2008 and loving the money I saved even more three years later. With regular maintainence from the dealer, it runs likes brand new right now today. 32,000 miles later!...read morehide

- Mitsubishi stands by its truth in advertisement. What they say goes!
- None found!
I went to a Mitsubishi dealer to check out the Lancer, which is the most fuel efficient car in their line-up and their least expensive one at that. I went to Toyota to buy the Yaris, which is the same price as this Lancer with the same options, but the Yaris was definitely a smaller car and really had no power, like the Lancer. Aside from that, the Mitsubishi company gives 10 years and a 100,000 mile warranty, which Toyota can only afford 5 years/60,000 miles of powertrain warranty! The Lancer is a better buy than the Yaris and better looking....read morehide

- Interior, exterior, everything about it.
- No cons to my knowledge.
Had the car for three days now, awesome car for the price.
Does lack a bit of power, but that's fine.
Looks great, feels great - great car overall.

- miles per gallong great in city or on freeway
- seats could be made a little more comfortable especially when going on long drives
I bought my lancer in 2006,it's a 2004! The payments fit perfectly in my budget. It is great on gas mileage and so far I have never had any problems with my Lancer. I love it! I do wish it had cruise control and the seats were a little more comfortable. I take long trips from AZ to CA!
I would buy another one in a heartbeat!

- Low cost, high value car.
Lancer has the best low price in the market and a high value for its content. The 2.0L in-line-4, double overhead camshaft with MIVEC, developing 152HP and 146 lb-ft of torque is very good and gets a 21/29MPG fuel economy. The CVT transmission with adaptive shift control which is the latest one. Power indows, 140 watt audio, tire monitoring system, good looks and handling....read morehide

- Acceleration, Aerodynamics, Styling, Sounds, Warranty, Handling & Ride!
- More sound proofing on the firewall and floor.
This is trully a sports sedan to be driven and not for display only! For the amazing styling it generates, its appealing ride, captivating acceleration and excellent warranty makes it the best in class sedan. The price stands at its value and much more with Mitsubishi relying that their car will hold up for 10 years or a resounding 100,000 mile, gives me the confidence in my purchase. Nowadays, the leading name brands are not always the best, for it might be made in China, where quality standards are not the best. Try one yourself, if Mitsubishi can give a long warranty, then it is a good product to use!...read morehide

- This car just looks good and drives just as well as it looks.
- The manual drive needs more snap when starting from a stop.
I love my 2008!!! It looks as good as it drives and handles. Starting from a stop with manual tranny is less that perfefect, but once you're moving - hold on. At 70mph it revs at around 3200 rpm - engineers please lower this and maybe mileage will improve ( I've got as much as 32mpg). Need to lower the price a little as other competitors, ie.. VW, Nissan, Toyota and Saturn, is hurting you....read morehide
