This car is great. i bought a white one with the aluminum gas cap. The CVT transmission works wonderfully and is really fun to drive. the 2.0 liter engine has plenty of power, thats why I didn't bother to buy the 2.4 liter. The blu tooth is awesome in this car as well. The dash isn't cluttered with a bunch of buttons. Everything I have tried so far works really well. Back seats are roomy, the trunk is crazy big. The car handles incredily well. Nice tight steering. The car also looks incredibly clean. Lights are good on the car. With a curb weight of 2850 pounds the car is also nice and light so it stops on a dime. People don't realise that it has independant tracktion control as well which makes the car really stick to the ground even in the rain. Its also the only car in its class that has 6 airbags and has rollcage bars in the doors. Its so much nicer than the Honda's that I had that felt like tin cans.
I would recommend this car to anyone that wants a commuter car that is also fun as well. Great visibility also makes the car stress free when changing lanes. Oh yea and back seats fold down so you can run large things through the trunk.

I have come to be more wise in buying cars and arrived to a conclussion that the Mitsubishi Lancer has the best in style, fuel economy,riding comfort, handling, transmission smoothness and the best 10 year/ 100,000 mile powertrain warranty from a Japanese carmaker. I cannot believe that a Japanese company still can give such assurance that when an owner buys their cars, they are assured to have peace of mind. The best all wheel drive Japanese car for the buck as compared with the rest of the bunch. Price wise and engine wise (2.4l), the Lancer has it packed and with a warranty like Mitsubishi's, they got you covered! It looks like an ordinary car/sedan, not a station wagon. I love my new lancer. It looks awesome, its fun to drive and for the price I paid I think I got a great deal. I got the GT manual trans. with navigation package. Out the door I paid a little less than 21gs. That being said, the ride is very rough. I don't mind so much because it handles very well but you will feel every bump on the road. My biggest complain is the engine sound. Although you won't hear it during normal driving, when you really open up, the engine sounds raspy. I wish, with the gas prices these days, my car would get a little more mpg but its only about 1 or 2 miles less per gallon on average than other cars in its class. I use to drive a Toyota matrix xrs. Although the matrix had 180hp compared to the 165hp lancer the lancer feels much faster. Its probably because the lancer has about 50% more torque than the matrix did. I'm glad I traded my matrix for this car. The matrix was good but not as good as the lancer....read morehide

This is my first AWD car, rather than a truck. Out of 21 cars, this is my favorite yet for all around being practical and fun! I previously had a Lancer GTS and traded it for the SE. Snow is no obstacle for me anymore, even fwd was a little of a chore at times...even with snow tires but this blows all my past cars out of the water with stock tires. Performance isn't as rich as I feel it should be. The cvt feels laggy but this is my first cvt transmission, I always prefer manual but made the acception for the SE and I don't regret it one bit. I highly recommend this car to anybody looking for a fuel efficient car (30 mpg avg) that has lots of room and great styling. 4wd doesn't make your gas suffer either, 25mpg for a piece of mind in winter is worth it to me!...read morehide

I just bought a 2012 GT and I love it. It feels like it has a good amount of power with the 5 speed manual transmission. I have owned a RSX type- S and it feels comparable to that car as far as acceleration goes, however it has been a couple years since I have driven that car. The GT trim looks great now that it comes with the Ralliart front end and grill. This car seems like a more practical option than the Ralliart or EVO and it comes with 100,000 mile powertrain warranty....read morehide
