Purchased As Used
I purchased this car when it was less than one year old. In the nine years I have had it, I have put over 200,000 miles on it and it still rides like a champ. I have to change my brakes and tires every two years, and my oil every 7,000 to 8,000 miles (I only use synthetic oil). Even at it's "advanced age," the car still gets around 30 mpg on the highway (when I'm not driving it like it was a Winston Cup car). It still has the original engine (1.8L, 4 cyl.) and transmission (4 speed auto)
The downside is that my catalytic convertor is no good and needs to be replaced (along with the entire exhaust system), and parts of the body and undercarraige are beginning to rust. It will be a shame if the car still runs well, but I have to get rid of it because the body is falling off...
Another downside is that my kids are getting older, and thus taller, and fitting them into the small backseat is getting more difficult....read morehide
