Purchased As Used
Great all around SUV with adequate power and handling. Very well designed and built. Quite comfortable for an SUV and loaded with plenty of features such as AC, power windows, etc. Very reliable and not too bad to work on when needed. The 4x4 makes getting stuck nearly impossible.
On the downside, the handling is a little sloppy and at highway speeds it tends to wander. They are top-heavy as well and somewhat prone to roll-overs if conditions are just right. If you're used to the feel of a car, you might not like the Montero Sport.
As for me, I love mine. It serves my purposes nicely; there's plenty of room to haul whatever I need to, I can go just about anywhere in it and I like how it looks too....read morehide
