- relaible and stable
- bad in rain w geolander tires
I have driven a trouble free 2003 Outlander sinc e it was new. The car hydroplaned in heavy rain at 50 mph. Did a 360 and 180. Not a scratch on me or passengers. Car hit guard rail at 50 mph w huge damage to vehicle. This is a rugged car. No one could believe how we walked away.
Problem seems to be the tires. Steer clear of Geolanders....read morehide

- Looks, Ride, Handling, Mileage, Warranty, Joy to drive
- Interior plastic door handles
Not going to mention everything I love about this SUV, just read the prior reviews that mirror one another. I just want to say Car and Driver shoud go out of business with their ridiculous biased (most likely paid off by Toyota) editor review of this fantastic vehicle. I do not buy anything without researching to a fault. It drives my wife nutty. But I test drove, read everything about, and made side by side comarisons to Toyota Rav 4, Honda Crv, Mazda 7, and others and it was not even close. The only props I give Toyota was its power advantage and superior quickness, which I might add seemed too much for the chassis, Outlander gets moving quite fast enough. How can user review after review all rave about this
SUV, and Car and Driver rate 4 out of 10 enthusiast rating. I would like to add I own a Toyota, just traded another in for The Outlander, and have been brand faithful, I think Toyota builds a fine vehicle, I would like to add I am an auto tech, and now manage a Goodyear facility and service all brands. Get the best value and quality for your money and buy the Outlander you will LOVE IT....read morehide

- Loads of options for the price, Third row seating, Paddle shifters for us race fans
- None it has met all my expectations
This SUV meets every need you may have. It is a top safety pick, very affrodable, lots of options for the price, and the best warranty on the market. Not only do you get a loaded vehicle with all the bells and whistles, you do not have to worry about it for 10 years and 100K miles. This is probably the best car I have ever bought. The sales people were very helpful and walked me through how to work everything before I left. The salespeople at Jeff Phillips Mitsubishi did everything I asked and I highly recommend asking for Doug Chester. He was a great help with any questions I had and was not pushy like most sales people....read morehide

- l4 engine with 2.4 L intake & with excellent interior layout. excellent for today's economy
- smooth take-off , minimum engine noise , with craddle ride
We were looking for a used vehicle considering the price of a new SUV but went home in the New 2008 Outlander ES without even signing the papers. The sales agents at Seaside Cardinally Way were so friendly and co-operative that it seem we were a family. At the end of the day, i still had no plans of buying a new SUV but Mr Richy insisted that i take Outlander for the night and he will show me more used vehicle next day. But the 10 minutes drive in that Outlander won itself all over. My wife was so moved by its performance that she won't even look at the used car yard.
The ride is so smooth that my 9 year old always falls asleep when we go out. The radio & cell phones controls are in the steering so you don't have to take your eyes off the streets. Don't believe my words then drive one and the payments are so affordable - only $420.00mth ..... You have to see this deal ....read morehide

- GOOD fuel economy, body style, sound system and roomy!!
- Driver seat doesnt have a back adjust for comfort!!
Before I bought this SUV, I have looked at least 4 similar ones such as Nissan Murano, Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Ford Edge, Lexus RX 350. Comparing the body style which almost identical, they almost look alike in most ways but price wise, the others are WAY WAY expensive. I have reviewed all the specifications and safety of all these cars and amazed with the Mitsubishi Outlander. To make my story short, I bought it and I LOVE everything about it. Been driving around town without looking at the gas consumption because I know I it not much as what I used to drive Dodge Ram 1500 Rumble Bee edition V8. Sound system is very nice and I love it, I Love It!! I LOVE my new car....read morehide

- Lively to drive, Low price, smooth transmission shifting, good MPG, Quiet, Beautiful style, Warranty
- Tight third row seating and no diesel engine!
Test drove a the Mitsubishi Outlander and did like the room and comfort of the interior even if some of the bits were hard cheap plastic. The exterior is rather plain but passable. The mileage seemed better than other SUV's I test drove. Maybe more break in miles would have helped in this regard. The ride and handling are setup for all folks that like a long trip drive. I also care for the smooth shifting auto transmission, that is the best I have ever driven. The price and warranty are the best comparing it from competitors and the experience of 90 years from Mitsubishi gives it the clients vote of confidence in buying from Japan's oldest car manufacturing company!...read morehide

- This car saved my life!
That is the best car you can ever drive! Fuel economy is great. It looks very nice and it is very comfortable. I had a horrible accident in this car (man driving about 40 miles/h hit me from passanger's side when I was turning left - excatly the center of the car). Side courtains deployed as well as seat air bag. NOTHING HAPPENED TO ME! I have only little pain in my elbow from this seat airbag. The car turned just a little bit because it is heavy. I love it people!!! Buying this car is like winning lottery and I won - MY LIFE!!!...read morehide

- Top crash test for front, side and rear impact collison done by the Insurance Institute for Highway.
I always buy vehicles that meet the safety standard for crash tests done by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety which is the watch dog for consumer safety. If not for them, most accidents will be fatal for the riding public. Mitsubishi puts their car design ahead for customer's protection and well being!...read morehide
