Best car among the pack w/ power, price & warranty

by Lee (9/29/08)
Pros:MIVEC=Mitsubishi Innavative Valve timing Electronic Control system=Power + Economy!
Cons:Only Mitsubishi has this patent!

If you are looking for performance and economy at the same breath, the Mitsubishi cars with MIVEC are the cars for you. It comes with power of racing cams (camshafts) for performance and standard cams for regular driving=economy without switching camshafts for city driving or for racing with the press of the gas pedal. In other words, you got both worlds at your feet, so to speak, without additional hassle of getting a mechanic to do it for you.

That's something innovative that Mitsubishi gives you and something to think about!!!

Underrated sleeper a few tweaks from perfection!

by Josh T. from California (9/24/08)
Pros:Great power, sleek curves, bang for the buck
Cons:Wheel gap, rear wing, lack of a l.s.differential

I just picked up my 2009 GT two weeks ago and I love it!

There is power everywhere in the rev range, and most people have no idea just how quick it is until they drive it. The brakes are strong, and the ride is comfortable, just not as sporty as I would like.

An upgraded set of summer tires and lowering springs would go a long way in making this car a blast to drive on a daily basis.

The car gets long looks and double-takes everywhere I go; I just wish Mitsu hadn't decided to make the gaudy rear-wing a standard item. The new dual exhaust and bumpers look menacing, but the HID lights don't look as aggressive as they should.

LOVE MY ECLIPSE, MY SECOND ONE.

by George Weldin from Newton, KS (9/17/08)
Pros:WHAT CAN SAY, WHAT NOT LOVE ABOUT THE ECLIPSE
Cons:NONE FOR ME

WELL BUILT, EFFECTUATES GREAT , GREAT TRACKING, HANDLES GREAT, SAFETY FEATURES. I'M SPOILED, TURN KEY ON & GO, TURN KEY OFF & GET OUT, EXCEPT FOR A FEW MINOR ADJUSTMENTS TO ACCESSORIES.
HANDLING & CONTROL:EG.- I HAD TO SWERVE TO AVOID ANOTHER DRIVER,GOING 55 MPH AT NIGHT & SLID SIDEWAYS DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH, MY ECLIPSE HUNG IN THERE, WITH NO HINT OF ROLLING, UPON SLOWING ENOUGH, I THEN MADE IT OFF THE SIDE THE ROAD TO A SAFE STOP IN THE GRASS.
IT HAPPEN SO FAST (I GUESS REACTION, DEPEND ON DRIVING EXPERIENCE), BUT HANDLED SO GOOD. IT ONLY TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO REGAIN MYSELF, THEN BACK ON THE INTERSTATE & ON HOME, TO THINK ABOUT WHAT JUST HAPPEN. THIS IS A GREAT CAR TO HAVE & A PLEASURE TO DRIVE AROUND TOWN OR ON A TRIP, RATHER STRAIGHT OR CURVY ROADS. HANDLING:IT CAN (IF YOU HAVE THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE & DON'T PUSH IT, PAST ITS LIMITATIONS) TAKE CURVE FASTER THAN MILES POSTED SPEED ON SIGN. (ME- 15 TO 20 MPH) I'M NOT PROMOTING UNSAFE DRIVING, BUT WE ALL LIKE TO HOT ROD AT TIMES TO SEE HOW WELL IT HANDLES.

My 3rd Eclipse

by Tom and Linda from Boston (8/27/08)
Pros:Great looks, performance and handling!!!!
Cons:NONE!!! I love this car!

This is the 3rd Eclipse that I've owned and every year they get better! I do ALOT of research before I buy ANY car and each time the Eclipse comes up the clear winner when you factor in price, comfort, handling and that 10 year 100,000 mile warranty! I bought mine at Quirk Mitsubishi and the sales staff was awesome! They also had the BEST prices.

I'm is car rental heaven

by EH (8/11/08)
Pros:Nice rice a little bumpy but taking curves is amazing
Cons:back seat is cramped. Rear vision is very bad you better check your blind spots well before turning

the center of gravity is very low. I rented a car and they gave me an eclipse. I rent a lot with them for business, so maybe that's why they gave it to me. I wish it was stick shift but even automatic is very good. I can take the curves at next to full speed and there's no reduction in stability. Even the kids at the McDonalds were telling me nice car. My car is your car.

In the pursuit of happiness, I bought an Eclipse!

by Dan from TX (7/16/08)
Pros:Too good to be true for it's performance, looks, comfort, fuel economy and price
Cons:Nothing to state

I have been checking out different brands and got to think of the Eclipse upon seeing their advertisement on TV. Tried out the Eclipse and I was immediately exhilarated by the driving performance it gives, the astonishing comfort, aesthetic looks, excellent fuel consumption for a performance sports car, reasonable price and unbelievable warranty of 10 years/100,000 miles. This is my daily driver and leave my BMW 530 at home.

To own one is the best answer to its satisfaction.

by Randy from NY (5/10/08)
Pros:Love the car-looks and thrilled with the new Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial on TV.
Cons:It is only now Mitsubishi TV commercial are better and updated.

Firstly, I love the Mitsubishi Eclipse lines and performance, not forgetting the affordable price and warranty compared with others in its class or category. Secondly, the athletic manufacturing robots playing to assemble the Eclipse is a first in its segment that I know others are going to copy. Kudos to the creator of this commercial for job well taken! I have confidence in Mitsubishi long experience in building cars and they continue to produce fuel efficient with very good power plants that amazes me, just like the Mitsubishi Evolution X 2.0 liter engine that produces 291hp with tremendous acceleration and power.
