So happy I got a Lancer

by turboDREAMS18 from Monticello, NY (8/25/08)
Pros:great gas mileage! 5spd is very fun. Handles like a charm. Sexiest car in the lot at my job :]
Cons:DE model doesnt come with A/C comon now mitsucheapie

For those who want more power, throw in the cold air intake and exhuast her-she'll dust ya then. I got it in silver and i couldn't have picked a better color for this car. Ordered without the wing (i was given the option) and the car looks much classier without it. The face this car makes just stuns me every time i greet her to go to work. Definitely one sexy machine. My girlfriend has the 08 accord coupe and these cars look like sharks next to eachother! =] Great handling, very comfy, will tint, add Xenons, rims, vents, and more. Car has great potential for prize at shows. Though... A/C should be a standard. Didn't think mitsu would get stingy. Also, I wish the red line ran up to 7 or at least 6.8 but i cant complain cuz ford rocks the 5.8 redline and i used to drive an escort. All in all... if you get this car, ur getting a winner, and you will score plenty of second looks with how beautiful this cars face and rear end compliment eachother.

great car but i prefer 128i handling and speed.

by sam from chicago, IL (8/10/08)
Pros:good fuel, interior is great, love the sporty look, great handling
Cons:need more hp

overall, car is great. Just need more power. the handling is great and very responsive. However the car has such great handling that i sometimes over turn and hit the curb unlike the sports car that i drive. Ive driven the 128i and it has great handling and speed, however a lil bit more expensive with none of the features that mitsubishi include for the price. Also, its japanese, so its bound to last long.

2009 Lancer GTS

by Carrie from MO (8/01/08)
Pros:Good Fuel economy, nav and tech system
Cons:Tires on GTS will not last long, but it is worth it to get the look

I got a brand new 2009 GTS for $20,000.00 to the penny. Sticker said $24,599 but I talked them down to $20k thinking it could not be done. The car speaks for itself, the navi is awesome, not sure how I ever lived without it or Sirius radio. The technology on it is unbelievable, something you usually do not get unless you spend twice what I did. I use it as my daily driver and I went from a Mustang GT to this, and I have already noticed the gas I have saved in just the few weeks I have owned the car. Also, I can actually drive this one in the winter instead of having to switch to our truck with even worse gas mileage. I am not a huge fan of buying new cars because I do not keep them long and I put a ton of miles on them, but I am confident that I made a good decision and will get my money out of this car. I was on the highway consistently doing about 73mph and I was getting 32.6 mpg, which is a lot better than they advertise. I realize you can get a tom tom and an ipod or sirius portable for less than $300, but the tech system is what makes the car "cool" persay, and you can do what I did and basically just negotiate your price down so you get it free!

Cool Ride

by JD from California (7/17/08)
Pros:Looks, sporty ride, long warranty equivalent to Hyundai, made in Japan, bluetooth, decent power/mpg
Cons:Resale value

I think that this car is a good value for the money. Get the GTS, the 16 more horses are well worth it and you sacrifice only minimal MPG with this substantial increase in power and torque. It comes with a lot of goodies like foglights, spoiler, etc. The bluetooth hands-free system is fantastic what with the new CA law against using your cell while driving. You can dial verbally by pressing one button on the steering wheel and then saying the phone number or saying the name and type of number like "mobile or work" (after some programming in the phone book). You can hear people clearly over the stereo speakers and people can hear you clearly just by speaking into the air. I really love this feature. You don't have to buy some bulky unit and attach it somewhere and then have some ugly wires that plug into the cigarette lighter.

Glad that I sprung for the Sun and Sound package. The Rockford Fosgate 650 watts stereo really rocks with 9 speakers and trunk subwoofer. 6 months of Sirius satellite are an added bonus. Never had a sunroof before and I am really enjoying it. The fast key feature is amazing in that you open doors and truck, lock doors, and start engine with the key in your pocket.

I did not get the Nav package because I did not think that it was worth another $2k. I will just use my $120 Tom Tom unit.

I am impressed with the car in almost everything it has to offer. It only makes me proud to be an owner of the best in its class and Mitsubishi has done a very good job.

Mitsubishi Lancer is a 2009 hottie!

by M Pearce from Carbondale IL (7/01/08)
Pros:Great fuel mileage avg 34 mpg, tight steering, comfort ride, kickin' stereo
Cons:None

Very roomy for the 4 door model and I didn't have to give up sporty to have room. Sporty spoiler on back, sunroof, and ground effects make this car hot to trot. Mine is Octane Blue Pearl!

Best car on the market in looks, handling & price.

by Joe from Buyers Land (6/27/08)
Pros:Engine technology, excellent handling, smooth transmission shifting, amazing looks, reasonable price
Cons:91 years of car making cannot be a con, it's a plus in experience!

I opted to buy the New, restyled Mitsubishi Lancer for its amazing looks, engine technology, smooth shifting transmission (best in all car makers), excellent handling characteristics (similar to my Mercedes Benz), reasonable price vehicle and long, 10 year/100,000 mile warranty which assures me of long vehicle use and Mitsubishi long experience in car making (much longer than Toyota, Honda or Nissan).

2009 Lancer GTS -- simply a great ride!!

by Phil from upstate new youk (6/24/08)
Pros:hot looks, 2.4L with 168hp and 167ft/lbs torque makes this car as quick as it looks, 7.5sec 0-60
Cons:CVT robs power and is slow(get the 2.5L and manual), arm rest too small, no photosensitive lights

2009 Lancer GTS. 2.5L w/ manual transmission. Sun and sound package with FAST key system.

What can I say. I have owned chevelles, camaros, and mustangs, and this car is the best car I have ever owned. Sure the mustang will take me from 0-60 or the 1/4 mile, but on a back road with lots of curves the mustang would struggle to keep up. Handling is amazing, quick, and responsive. 2.5L with 168 hp gets this car moving. I'm running 0-60 in 7.5 seconds with the manual. (I've read the CVT is a full 1 to 1.5 seconds slower). Exterior styling is great. Everyone comments what a great looking car it is, from the front end, to the lines down the side to the read end, simply stunning. Some people even wonder how I can afford a 40-50000 car, then I tell them it starts under 20,000 and they are blown away. Interior styling is nice, carbon fiber accents are a nice touch, seat material is nice, some cheap plastics around the interior, but they are easily ignored with the gadgets you have to play with. This car is high tech and gives you toys that high end luxury cars give you. Overall simply a great car for the money, quick, fun to drive, great looker, and top notch handling.

Great Steering, Good hanlding, Good Accel.

by Seiha from 90805 (6/10/08)
Pros:Decent feul economy, good handling, much better steering response, good brake
Cons:rear trunk shape doesn't right and short., don't the idea of feul filter in gas tank

Much better handling than Civic. The steering is responsive enough. Decent acceleration( o-60 in approximate 8.5 second). Great road holding and very good brake . Front look very sporty but the rear trunk is purely sedan;they don't fit together. Should redesign this edgy rear in couple years. Everything else is perfect for me.
