Socrates argued the only way to achieve greater knowledge is to admit that you know nothing. He argued that the man who claims to know everything will never be able to learn more than what he currently knows. We auto writers are no different, and when we stand corrected on a matter, we’ll be the first to admit it.
On Thursday, we were on location in Arizona testing the new Silverado and Sierra Heavy Duty lines (review coming soon), and happened to snap a few photos of a future crossover, covered in camouflage. We thought it might be a future Chevy crossover– but it turns out we were very wrong.
A very trusted source (who wished to remain anonymous) informed us that no way, this was not a Chevy. In fact, what we were looking at was the next Nissan Murano, out testing in the desert.
What may have thrown me off was the size. This vehicle looks smaller than the current Murano. But with the emphasis on fuel economy and improvements in build quality, it is possible to get the same interior space from a slightly smaller vehicle. Also, we were in a freaking huge GMC Sierra 3500 HD, so everything looked small to us. At any rate, this is definitely the next Murano.
