- Good mileage, I average over 20. Excellent handling. good ride.Best pickup I have had.
I purchased the truck in July, 2006, a crewcab V6, LE. I have a little over 12000 miles on it as of Jan. 23, 2oo7. It is the best pickup I have had. I've had 4 Fords, three which were Rangers V6's.1 chevy S10, 2 Dodges, 1 a Ram and 1 aV8 Dakota, and a 2003 Toyota Tacoma crew cab. I highly recommend the Nissan Frontier. It has the most power and torque of any of the smaller pickups....read morehide

- LE model is the best for Price, Value, Power and comfortable ride
- None yet
I bought a 2 wheel drive Frontier LE. I had a manual 4 cylinder Ford Ranger for the last 8 1/2 years and I liked it. So moving up to Nissan Frontier is unbelievable. It has so much power and room. I have a 2 yo and a 5 yo and they love the crew cab. I wanted a smaller truck with 4 doors. I didn't want to go to the Ford 150 because of the size and expense. I was looking at the Toyota Tacoma, Dodge Dakota, and the Frontier. I compared all three vehicles on several web sites and value wise Nissan gives you most features as standard items on the LE model. At 1st, I was leaning towards the Dakota, but I didnt like the way it drove. I have had the Frontier for 2 weeks now and I drive it everywhere and it is wonderful. I went to all 4 Nissan dealers in Vegas. I found that 3 of them were good to deal with. Planet Nissan was the worst. They told me they had the vehicle that I wanted and when I got there they tried to pull a bait and switch with me. I settle on United Nissan and dealt with Mr Rowland Lewis and found him to be a straight shooter. I did my homework and was firm and paid $23,500(not incl sales tax). That price included the Fosgate sound system, a bed extender, and anti slip diff. Spending $25k is a big deal and I feel like i did a lot of research and would love to share the info I came across....read morehide

- Strong Appearance, Overall Dimensions, Price
- MPG is a bit too high but for a 265 HP ....
I test drove the Tacoma, Colorado (xtreme) and Frontier. Tacoma was a bit bumpy and shifting was slow. Colorado's acceleration felt like it was going to choke at the first gear and a bumpy ride as well. I test drove the Nissan Frontier LE and NISMO. Engine was strong and very competitive. It accelerated well and transmission shifted smoothly and effortless plus the power it offers is better than the Tacoma and much better than the overpriced Colorado. The engine was designed for lazy maintainers because almost everything is well placed and are easily accesible. The way the body was made is flawless. Hardly noticed weld joints . Interior was better than the Colorado but Toyota had a better design. Head room and leg room is more than enough. If your looking for a truck with a punch, reliable, and priced just right, this is your truck. I finally decided, after a month of test driving numerous models, I am buying me a NISSAN FRONTIER LE....read morehide

- Practical truck, looks great!
- Extremely rough ride, horrible turning radius, handles terribly, MPG could be improved
I went out shopping for a mid size 4 door truck and included in my search were the tacoma (of course), the chevy colorado, and the Dodge Durango. The two latter were ruled out fairly quickly. I chose the Nissan Frontier over the Tacoma for two main reasons.... I liked the looks of the Frontier better, and it had a few little gizmos that the Tacoma lacked. After owning my nissan for a year now (it's an 0'5) I rue the day I went into that dealership. My MPG if so far off the dealer's promise (and I know they usually are, but this one is WAY far off)... If it says 24 MPG hwy, i expect 20 or 21, not 17... I get about 15 on average as a whole... I have constant rattles, every little bump in the road feels like I'm offroading in a ford focus, I've seen tractors with a better turning radius, my a/c smells like something died in it for the first few minutes its on, and 3 times now I;ve almost had an accident when I hit any kind of pothole or divit in the road.... the truck gets the death wobbles and I almost lose control of the wheel because it's shaking so violently. I also own a Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD and H2 SUT and they both haven't really given me any problems in the few years I have had them. My "new" truck on the other hand sits in my driveway most of the time because I don't want to deal with it's problems. I would NOT recommend this truck, and man do I kick myself for not taking that Tacoma when I had the chance.......read morehide

- The CC LE has excellent features for less than the price of other trucks of the same standard.
- The only con I have is I got mine Super Black, and it is a very flat color.
I have had mine for a couple of months now, and it is the best truck I have driven and owned for the price. I took it on a road trip after I bought it to see how it handled on long rides, and it performed better than I imagined it would. The ride comfort is excellent, and the the sound system that comes with it (rockford fosgate) is great!!! The truck was also nice on my wallet when it came to gas!!! It got me better gas mileage than my car did! I can't it will do the same for everyone out there, but it did me well. It kinda took me a while to get used to the short bed, but that's why they have the bed extender. When I went out partying and so on, it had enough room to fit 6 adults (it's only made for 5) comfortably. The truck also performs like it's a sports car. It is very nimble if you want it to be, and it has enough power at your disposal if you need it. Overall, I am very pleased with my truck....read morehide

- Feels good on the road. I feel safe not like in my little car .
- none so far
I test drove quite a few trucks before I decided on the Nissan Frontier Crew LE. It's beautiful inside and out. I love the height, perfect for driving along all the SUV's on the road these days. No pressure buying experience too. What's not to love?

- Appearance, price, power, options
- Interior needs more refinement
My original trade was a Tacoma. I was very happy for the 5 years I owned it so I wanted to keep with the tradition and buy the new model. After test driving both trucks twice, I decided the frontier was the better choice. The appearance, power, and price scored high with me. The transmission shifts and the stiff chassis makes this truck feel bullet proof. Ride height, seating position and interior controls were all very comfortable. Although, the Tacoma did score higher with me when it came to interior appearance and rear leg room. However, there was just something about the tacoma that didn't feel right. The windshield and windows were too high for the seating position, which made me feel a bit claustrophobic. The transmission shifts were slow and dull. The most alluring factor for the Frontier was price. A loaded LE CC had more goodies than the base SR5 and cost just the same. My biggest concern was fuel costs but so far I'm averaging 17.5 MPG with mixed driving. Not too bad considering you have 265HP beneath your right foot. I recommend this truck to anyone whether you're a weekend wheeler or just a regular commuter....read morehide
