- Good Looks, nice engine, overall a great truck
- Gas mileage is pretty poor
I absolutely love this truck. I like the way it looks, it handles very well for a truck and is in comparison to some cars that I have driven. The engine provides plenty of power and is very nice for 0-60 as well as towing and lugging things around. The interior is very comfortable although the back seat is a little stiff, but that is expected when buying a pickup. The bed liner and tie downs are awesome. The bed is a little small, but if you buy the bed extender you should have enough room for most things. The ride is nice, although when you get to higher speeds (80+) it can get a little noisy from the wind, but it still handles extremely well. The stereo is good. If you don't like orange than this truck isn't for you because most of the interior gauges and stereo is orange when turned on at night. Gas mileage is the only problem that I have with it, I get about 13-14 mpg, but I drive it very fast :P. Overall I think this is a great truck and am extremely pleased with it. The only thing I would trade this truck for (besides the obvious sports car), is a Titan....read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
- plenty of zip, good looks, well sized, fun to drive, extremely capable off-road, very well built.
- I wish the gas mileage was a bit better, turning radius.
I have yet to drive a truck that is so much fun to drive as this little beast! It feels unbeatable in the back country, and is a real performer on ashphalt. I like the look and feel of the entire package. The VQ engine is a big plus ( perhaps the best internal combustion ever made).

- Precision handling, Tight turning radius, Great acceleration, Decent fuel economy
- Inside looks as though it is made from cheap plastic. Stereo sound could be better.
I had a full-size Ford extended cab that I traded in, so first off I had to get accustumed to the more compact interior cab even though my Frontier was the largest cab model. Simply put, this truck is fun to drive! It handles extremely well and will certainly get up and go. It has a very quiet and smooth transmission and it's entirely too easy to catch yourself speeding unintentionally. (Yes I already have the speeding ticket to prove it.) The aggressive acceleration was a pleasant surprise from this powerful V6. We use my Frontier to pull our boat (21' ocean boat) every weekend for an hours drive and you hardly even know it's there. We love this truck. The stereo sound system could be a bit better and some of the interior controls are constructed from somewhat inferior materials. However, overall I am very pleased with this little truck's performance and the price was very afforable as well. This is my first Nissan but I'm sure it won't be my last!...read morehide

- lots of power, torque. Agile ride, climbs like a billy goat in the rough stuff. Great looking!
- turning radius
Man, I like this truck! I was waiting patiently for the right mid-size to come along, and Nissan delivered! I drove the Dakota, the Tacoma, and the Colorado, just to be able to compare. They were all O.K., but the Frontier stood out in my mind. It offers the most bang for the buck, no doubt.

- Good mileage, I average over 20. Excellent handling. good ride.Best pickup I have had.
I purchased the truck in July, 2006, a crewcab V6, LE. I have a little over 12000 miles on it as of Jan. 23, 2oo7. It is the best pickup I have had. I've had 4 Fords, three which were Rangers V6's.1 chevy S10, 2 Dodges, 1 a Ram and 1 aV8 Dakota, and a 2003 Toyota Tacoma crew cab. I highly recommend the Nissan Frontier. It has the most power and torque of any of the smaller pickups....read morehide

- great price, good looks, better than average handling
- engine noise, engine noise, engine noise
I have just test drove this truck but good thing I did because I almost bought one. I am really impressed on the great looks and good handling and best of all the unbeatable price but it all stops right there. Nissan is still the same old nissan when it comes to its line of trucks. I was totally unimpressed on the noise coming from the engine and underneath the vehicle, possibly its exhaust sytem. When I drove it, it feels like the engine noise or wherever it comes from, is like a vibrating sound. It would have been good if it sounded like a honda engine or a toyota where you can feel the engine Rev. in a good way. I owned a '00 maxima and its engine is the best i've seen and driven in a Nissan in a long time. Nissan doesnt have to improve its style because its the best when it comes to that but it should start making sweet engine noises before it can compete with the likes of Toyota and Honda....read morehide

- GREAT POWER, QUICK AND STRONG AND LOOKS AWSOME.
- GAS MILAGE AND WHEN A REAR WINDOW IS DOWN I HEAR AN EXTREMELY LOUD NOISE!
NISSAN HAS CREATED THE ULTIMATE MID-SIZE TRUCK. I CAN DEAL WITH THE WIND NOISE BUT IT IS SO LOUD IT HURTS EVERYONE IN THE TRUCKS EARS.

- Outside appearance, power, gizmos and gadgets, pricing vs Tacoma
- Inside appearance, rough engine idle, seat belts don't automatically go up like they should
I Love This Trucks! But, love isn't alway perfect. I enjoy the engine power, highway fuel mileage, outside tough look, and the utility track system. Other things I like are that the factory accessories one could purchase for the vehicle are not too pricey. I hear story after story of how long Nissan trucks last and I've seen quite a few Nissans with 200,000 plus miles and still run like champs. It was going to be between the Frontier, Tacoma, and Canyon. I picked the Nissan over the Tacoma because Toyota has this mentality that they could sell most of their vehicles at sticker price. I am on my forth new vehicle purchase and I never paid sticker price. I think anyone who does must either have money to burn or are plain stupid. Toyota offended me and so I said, "Oh what a feeling, don't buy Toyota!" But, I still love the way the inside of the Tacoma looks compared with the Nissan. As for the Canyon, I have always been a GM man, and I probably will always be one, but the Frontier was rated alot better. So I went with it because of two reasons: Nissan will flex on the price and their sales people don't have their head up their ___, and it just looks and feels like a real truck. Well, it is a real truck, but I did have a couple of problems. First, the fuel tank door would open as I was driving, and the fuel gauge started acting up. I took it to Nissan and they took care of both problems. Every time I took it to Nissan, they would send a porter to drive me back home and pick me up when the truck was ready. In addition, they wash the truck for me everytime it goes there, even for an oil change. Nissan is top notch. As for Toyota, I'll probably buy another Nissan or a GM when the need arises, so get real and get your head out of your ____....read morehide

- Plenty of power and smooth ride.
- Very sensitive stearing.
Traded my 2000 Frontier for the 06 model and must confess that I wish I had the old one back. It was just a lot more fun to drive. No complaints so far except for an anoying rattle that I cannot find. All my driving is on the highway and I average 22 mpg.
