- None to gripe about
I finally felt that brake issue everyone is whinning about. 8K miles and just had a brake jitter or vibe or whatever everyone is calling it & I am taking it into the dealer tomorrow to get them replaced. Other than that, I had a button on my stereo stick so got a new one installed. Compaired to all the other vehicles I have owned (none Nissan) that is nothing. This truck is awesome!!! I didn't get it so I could have good gas milage, or drive the country roads like I was in a ferrari, if thats what you want DON'T GET A TRUCK!!! The power is awesome, the exhaust sound is great, and the stereo rocks! It rides smooth, for a truck, has a very spacious interrior that is comfortable to me and thats all I care about. I drove & researched everything in its class before I drove it and waisted all that time I could have been enjoying my TITAN. Ford, Chevy, Dodge & now Honda have a TON or 1/2 ton of catching up to do! Owning this truck is definatly one of the few things in my life I am proud I did, that and my divorce but thats a different story!!...read morehide

- Best features on any fullsize truck. Titan is the only truck to drive. Must get the LE, its the best
- Pacific Nissan in San Diego has horrific customer service. I think they hire ex-cons as salespeople
I got the 05 Titan LE CrewCab. The only additions I got were the Big Tow Package, Bed Extender, and Floor Mats. But it already comes with standard Leather interior, Bedliner, Reverse sensor, Heated front seats, Awsome Rockford Fosgate Stereo, etc, etc. I only paid $27800 for this truck because I got back $2250 dealer holdback plus some rebates. I get sooo many compliments you would think I was driving a Ferrari. The only complaint I do have is the Jerks who work at Pacific Nissan in San Diego. Go to Mossy Nissan for a much better deal and better customer service. The manager, Walter, was the rudest person I have ever met, he wanted to charge me $2500 more than what I ended up paying!!! Other than that, the Titan is outstanding, I recommend white in Color with the Graphite interior....read morehide

- great looking
- too many to mention!
Don't purchase a Titan unless you have 30,000 dollars to waste or you want to deal with incompetent people who insist that this truck is safe to drive. Nissan refuses to admit that our truck was in a wreck due to faulty brakes. They say the brakes performed fine. Also, the airbag did not go off even though we were hit head on! They simply can't determine the reason for this issue, but it wasn't a safety issue. After 6 weeks in the shop after the accident the transmission fluid is puddling in our gargage. We went to Nissan and they wanted us to wait behind other people! Go figure! We are planning to pursue a lawsuit.
This company needs to be liable for not contacting any customers about this braking issue which does cause a safety problem!...read morehide

- drivetrain power, handles well, very comfortable for people over 6 feet tall, modern styling
- In over a year of ownership, I can't think of any in 14000 miles. Ride may be too firm for some
My LE has no brake problems at all, and if it did ,I would pay to fix / upgrade them myself ( about $300 ). My 2003 Tahoe had lousy brakes, and a simple after market pad change did the trick. I got a letter from Nissan extending my brake warranty for 3 more years . I like that ! I trailer a boat and my brakes get a "work out", but I see no reason to condem the whole truck should they ever go bad.
My Tahoe had to have the steering column and box replaced ( warranty ), but I still have it and love to drive it....read morehide

- The truck has awesome look with features out of this world
- Compared to the Ford F150 this vehicle rides like a dump truck
A fully optioned out vechile with leather seats/memory; Nissan needs to learn to make more comfortable vehicles. I don't like the way the Ford F150 looks but it definitely beats the socks of the Titian.

- Power, comfort, apeaence, Navigation, DVD entertainment, and did I say power?
- Some initial minor issues and brake issue...all corrected by Nissan!
Yes, there have been some issues with the brakes on a lot of Titan's and mine was no exception. However, Nissan has stepped up to the plate and corrected all the isues I have head, except for a squeeky seat (still working on that one). Squeeky seat aside, this has to be the best truck in its class period. I know a lot of people with other brands of trucks (the big 3)and they have problems too, only there dealer does not fix the problems, or calls them "operating as normal"! The Titan has power, a good ride, good interior, and plenty of options. The Utility track and side bed storage are very handy. The room I have in my crew cab is abundant and I have gone on several long trips with ZERO complaints from passangers regarding back seat comfort. The kids love the DVD entertainment and the wife and I appreciate the DVD navigation system. Just for thse who don't know by now, Nissan has a fix out for the brakes, and they are now very reliable and have almost no brake dust. On top of that Nissan has extended the warranty on all the new brake components. Bottom line is that, despite the issues, I am happy with my Titan. Could I be happier? Of course. But could I be happier with one of the Big 3? I don't think so...been ther done that...never again! If you are interested, read these reviews but always take them for a test drive. Than buy the one that YOU like best. For me it was the TITAN!...read morehide

- engine, looks, ride, power
- couple quality issues
Yes the Titan has some rattles and brake issues like ever car does. But this is a drivers car. On paper, some other makes like F150 or Dodges look as good, but once you drive the Titan you will fall in love.
This has got to be the most over hyped issue ever. Yes the earlier models have brakes that need to be replace and does develop judder. But it happens slowly and you have plenty of time to bring it in and get fixed. Anyone claiming their life is in danger is full of it and a flat out LIAR! The cry babies who are making up all these stories to get attention are losers.
Nissan has a brake replacement program and has openly acknowledged to problem. Once you get the fix, it not only solves the brake issues, but dust virtually goes away completely.
I am honestly more concerned about a few rattles in the doors.
All I got to say is drive this Titan before you buy anything else....read morehide

- Voted number#1 full size truck by major truck magazines
- A little gas thirsty if you are a lead foot
A super great truck for the value and features that I have ever spent for my hard earned money! I got the 05 LE 4X2 fully loaded NAV, DVD, big tow, leather, 350W Rockford Fosgate, bed extender, and a whole lot of standard features, too long to list here. The Titan was selected by 4 of the major truck/Car magazines as the best all around full size truck in the market today; Truck Trend's Nov/Dec issue selected the Titan as the best full size truck for 2005. That mean's better overall than the F150, 06' RAM 1500; Chevy Silverado, & the venerable Toyota Tundra.
So those of you that are in the fence, not sure if you want to take the plunge for your 1st or 2nd full size truck, I urge you to test drive them all. Believe me, the Titan's was a very impressive and memorable test drive experience
Finally, if still in doubt, look at it objectively. As the major truck magazines review show consistent test results across the board, the Titan is reining is king of the hill at this time. What happens in 07 - 08 is another story....read morehide

- Great power, excellent transmission, huge interior, innovative features
- A few rattles and squeeks
My 04 had the original brakes replaced by the dealer early this Summer, and I haven't experienced any problems since. The truck rides great, tons of power, smooth shifting transmission, plenty of room, the list goes on. The only complaints I have are of a few squeeks and rattles, but no more than what I've heard in all the domestics....read morehide

- v8 power, comfort of seats, good sound system, large tires
- major problems with breaks!!!
I had major break problems after the first 5000 miles, the rotors wore out fast and the customer service was terrible. on top of that there is considerable shaking and squeaking in the dash and what i think is area under the hood. Either i bought a lemon or nissan needs to work out their kinks. They have dont a better job than toyota in the full size trucks for their first attempt, but i would stick with the domestics until their product is proven over the years. I am looking to trade in my titan and go get myself an F-150. Ford has proven to be tough and reliable, after all they are the number one selling for 28 years straight....read morehide
