- Towing, acceleration, ground clearance, handling and big door handles.
- Low payload, massive A-pillars, weak brakes, limited options.
Good: The 5.6L V8 is very responsive at any speed with or without trailer. 7,500 lbs of towing is good considering I do not have the big tow pkg (9,500 lbs not avail for XE models) Almost 12" of ground clearance (4x4) gives it advantage off road. Smooth steering and handling makes it fun to drive. The big door handles come in handy if wearing working gloves. Very roomy. Plenty of leg room. Good looks.
A real workhorse.
Bad: The payload was dissapointing (1,500 lbs) The massive A-pillars makes it hard to see at intersections and I have to look around them or pull in closer to see either way. The brakes are too mushy with too much travel. Very limited options, I can't have an XE w/Big tow pkg (at least here in Puerto Rico). The beds for both King/Crew cab are too short. The mirros on models without big tow pkg are too small to see around the trailer or boat. No telescoping steering column! It doesn't look as "manly" as a Dodge Ram, but i can live with that.
