I bought the 06 model in February of 07. The local dealers were trying hard to move these so they were giving nice rebates. I got this truck for only $17900 so I have to say that the price I got it for was a huge plus!
I did a lot of research before picking the Titan but all the research in the world doesn't mean a thing once you hit the throttle and feel the engine, and in this truck you can feel the engine. This truck has excellent power, it gets up and goes when you want it to!
The ride is comfortable. There is a lot of storage space. The truck looks very nice. We even rode in the back seat and it was comfortable enough (I'm 6'2" 230lbs). I wouldn't want to ride back there for extended trips but would have no problems running about town. The truck drives very nice, it almost doesn't feel like a full sized truck, very responsive steering, excellent breaking (so far).
I have to say that so far I am extremely pleased with this truck, I would highly recommend, (especially if yu can find a killer deal!!)....read morehide

- Has good comfort and great torque power.
- Fabrics are ok and seatbelt arrangement could be better
Love my Titan, drives great on the highway, on back roads and off road. Has just as much or more power than the Dodge Ram and tows better than all my buddies Chevys and Fords. And who ever says the Titan is Tiny compared to other Full sized trucks...They're crazy. I sit higher than any truck on the market except for the 250 and 2500 models and has more room than the others. I've sat in every truck made. If you want to see a small Truck go check out the Tundra....read morehide

- Fuel is not bad, Looks good, Can Kill a Triton in an race!
- Would like more ground clearance, Needs more cleats for straps.
The Titan that I bought has the power I want and can pull up to 8,000 pounds with ease. I Raced a Ford because he was egging me on and I had to let him win after 5 times of trying to beat me. I will probably buy another, if they come out with a redesign or more power (not that it isn't sufficient enough). Family loves it and who ever sits in it after five minutes falls in love with the truck. The ride isn't like a Lexus or Mercedes, BUT IT'S A TRUCK WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!! I Live in Colorado and we got pounded with snow! I pulled out two Fords pick- ups and a small car that had gotten stuck in the huge drifts. Mine did very well and I recommend this truck to anyone who is in the market for a truck....read morehide

- Horse Power, Size, comfort
- early production problems
Yes, to the disappointment of every Nissan fan out there, Nissan should have done a little more R&D on this truck, but have been quick to fix the problems with yhe early production Trucks and NEVER abondoned the owners. I have a 2006 Titan LE and so far have not had any problems with it, its the 5th Nissan truck I've owned and the first Titan, I love it.
I've read all of the reveiws on Yahoo and have simple answers to these peoples problems, if the transmission lugs between 45-49 in 5th don't drive it there, mine dosen't, you should shift to 4th or speed up, the axle Nissan Started putting differatal cooler on the trucks. To the Ford guy if you love Fords so much buy a Ford, have fun sitting at the repair shop, the fuel pump guy, how many times did you wife run it low on gas or completly out? The pump sits in the tank and the gas actually cools the pump so when you run it low it over heats.
These are trucks are machines, machines brake every negative review I have ever read is on the early production trucks.
When I bought mine the salesmen told me something, I traded in a '04 Frontier, he said thank god its not a Ford or a Chevy, we can't even give those away....read morehide

- Nice looking, great power and towing capabilities
- not so good mileage, warped rear axial, aging leather
This is a fully loaded, full four door truck with approx 18,000 miles on it, which I purchase brand new. The leather is prematurely aging, rear left axial warped and had to be replaced at 10,000 miles.
Nissan has a problem with ALL Titan transmissions - if you drive the truck in 5th gear, at a nice steady 46-49 mph, the transmission starts to strongly lug. This makes the whole truck shake and jump. Nissian Corporate says this is " normal, do not drive at this mph". Now if you shift into 4th gear, this does not happen. So as I am an engineer, what is happening is the tranny is luging the motor at this rpm/mph in 5th gear. If Nissan would simply produce a software update for the transmission that would not allow the truck to shift into 5th gear below 49 mph, problem solved. Now be understanding, my local dealer took five new Titans off the lot as requested by Nissian Corporate, out for testing the same issue - guess what? All five produce the same results, and Nissian still says this is normal. My Dodge Quadcab never did that!
Also the Nissian factory installed bed liner is discoloring, and don't throw your kids spent sparklers in the bed!!! The left over sulfur turned the bed white!!!!! And cannot be removed!
Overall the truck is better than my Dodge, but Nissian Corporate Customer Care is gravely lacking in support....read morehide

- fuel economy same as others, decent
- brakes awful, rides like a 1972 chevy handles like 1966 chevy
ok, my 2006 loaded titan, wishes it had my 05 ford triton,
titan is decent. has two things in common with tundra, not full size, tiny compared to 150 or gm 1500, also hp rating is not true nissan is kinda weak.
I know nissan has good quality, but is not as roomy, can't tow like my 3 valve 5.4!!!!!!!!!!! park by an f150, nissan is teeeeny...read morehide

My second and hopefully last review for this vehicle. We had the brake problem as I mentioned in my previous review. Today, with just 29K miles, the fuel pump failed. Fortunately, my wife was NOT trailering thoroughbreds from Kentucky or it would have been a disaster instead of a fairly minor inconvenience. I can't even remember all the cars that I have owned and never had a problem with a fuel pump. Very disappointed in this vehicle....read morehide

- Excellent truck in every category except comfort
- Not meant for people over 6' tall
When test driving the pickup, I didn't realize I was leaning forward the whole time. I'm 6'3". This truck is definitely not designed for anyone over 6'. If you're considering it, I recommend making sure the seat is all the way down and determining how comfortable it is for you to be stopped and looking at a stop light. I have to crane my neck....read morehide

- Powerful, roomy, great ride on the interstate
- Gas milage is terrible! I get 14.5-15.5 mpg anywhere, city or highway
Power comes at a price, If I stay under 70mph on the highway, I get 15.6 mpg. I love my truck but the sticker had 19 mpg on the highway.
My Honda said it got 29 mpg on the highway and I get 32, my Toyota Tacomca said it got 21 and I avg 22. So I belived the mpg on the stickers before this truck.
It has all the power I could ever hope for!...read morehide
