2007 Nissan Titan King Cab User Reviews

- Ride and power is excellent plus you set up higher than most trucks which makes visibility excellent
- Stereo reflection in the back glass at night is annoying. No lights on cruise control buttons.
I have only had my Nissan Titan for a short time. I got the King Cab because of the longer bed. Would have opted for the Crew if the longer bed was offered in the 07. Hear that is going to be an offering in the new 08 models.
This truck out performs just about every other truck on the road with the exception of the higher priced bigger V8's that are OPTIONAL on the Dodges, Fords, Chevys and Toyotas. But, with the bigger optional engines pushes the price way above what I paid for the standard 5.6L in the Titan. And the torque on this engine is unbelievable for such a small V8. I have driven all the full size trucks with the exception of the Toyota with the 5.7 and I can tell you. None even comes close to pinning you back in the seat like the Titan. I went from a 05 Dodge Dakota with the biggest engine you could get in it. The 4.7 V8. I could not believe the difference. I did everything to my Dakota you could do to increase the gas mileage. K&N filter system, dual exhaust, Tornado FuelSaver and Mobil 1 synthetic oil and It would still only get around 16.5 to 17 MPG on the road and around 13 in town. I have only checked the Titan's mileage 3 times and it has been consistantly 16.5 to 17 with mixed driving conditions.( I expect it will do better once broken in a little more. Only has 1200 miles on it)My Dakota would have only gotten around 15 under the same conditions.
The Titan drives more like a car to me also. Ride and handling is excellent for a truck. And it is one of the easiest vehicles to see out of and handles great in heavy high speed traffic of Nashville.
I do have a few qwerks with the truck. But nothing really major. I got the regular 6CD changer. Sounds pretty good for a standard stock stereo. The reflection of the stereo in the back glass is a little annoying at night. Could use a higher arm rests on the doors. Top of the door is too high and the arm rest on the doors are to low. Makes it a little hard to get a comfortable position.
To sum it up. If I had it to do all over again. I would get the same truck but, would add the utility package and the Rockford Fosgate audio system. And would still pay less for it than another brand with comparable options....read morehide

- Power baby, great Rockford stereo, burned off a set of tires in 15,000 mi
- nothing too big, leather seat wearing out at 25,000 mi.
I actually have an 04, but it's close to the new ones. I wanted a chevy Z71, but my wife said "Just look at the titan." so I did, I was hooked within the first 2 blocks. I cranked the stereo, and did a burnout 1/2 way up the entrance ramp, and I was hooked. I have every option except the navigation. The 4x4 off road package with lockout rear diff is great, I used it a few times in extremely deep snow drifts in Alaska.
Comfort is great, I had to move to Alaska, but had a Volkswagon GTI, way to small to move across the continent with a wife and dog, plus my wife had recent surgery, which made it difficult to drive a stick. We took the truck from brand new, and drive it from the Twin cities all the way across Canada to Delta Junction Alaska. It was a great drive.
Perfect truck!...read morehide

- Lots of power for the dollar. Handles great for a big V8.
- Sterio is weak. needed a boost.
The 2007 is a sweet looking truck. It handels very well for it's size. It could use a more powerfull sterio.

- Powerful motor, excellent tranny, good build quality
- needs a more aggressive tire and stronger brakes
I have had my 07 titan for a couple months now. It replaced an 05 ford 150. This is not a true full size truck and to it's credit it feels much smaller than it is when you drive it. Good vision over the hood. The A pillar tends to get in the way a little, but that is common in a truck. I got the utility bed option, I would strongly recomend it to anyone. I like the storage behind the driver's rear wheel. Great place to keep jumper cables and tow straps. The only regret I have is not opting for the off road package. The tires that came with my truck are useless. They are clearly only for street use. I have 18 inch wheels so I may have to live with them a while (has anyone priced out an 18 inch tire with an aggressive tread, holy cow). This truck is far more powerful than my 150 was with a ride that is only slightly more harsh. It's size makes it easy to wheel around in tight spaces or city traffic. Anyone looking at a half ton truck should at least give this a test drive....read morehide

- functional interior, drivetrain is good, standard equipment on the LE
- interior ergonomics, steering feel
I just bought my 07 on dec 24th. The motor is powerful and works well with the transmission to keep you in the heart of the power band without over revving. The biggest negatives I have so far with my truck are the ergonimcs of the interior. With the captains chairs and the center console shifter, you need to reach to manually shift. Especially towing or driving in hills, this makes it not as easy as it could be. I am 6'4'' so its not my arms that are to short to reach the shifter. Also another anoying quirk of this truck is the stereo reflection in the rear window at night. I have a king cab so i do not know if this is the case on the crew. The seats only have fold down arm rests on one side. I guess you are supposed to rest your arm on the door, which has an arm rest which is to low. This gets uncomfortable on long trips. I have the tow package which comes with lower rear end gearing. I have been getting between 12.75-16.2 mpg per tank mixed driving. My friend has a titan without the tow package and he gets about 1.5-2 mpg better than i do. If you dont tow alot I would not get this package. Overall this truck has been great. I am impressed with the truck. Just some little things that I found anoying but nothing that wouldnt make me buy this truck again....read morehide

- all the room inside, plus the extra doors, proximity alert while in reverse
- MPG, cheap feel of knobs in cab
I wasn't expecting to buy such a large vehicle, but being out here in California they were really cheap (3000 off MSRP). Having said that, I have been pleasantly suprised at the ride. The roads in California are some of the worst in the country and the ride is quite smooth for a truck. I have all the storage room I could ever want, plus, I can pull into traffic easily with the 317 HP. The MPG isn't great, I expected that with a V8, but my commute is only 5 miles. Overall, I have been pleased....read morehide

- LOTS OF ROOM
I'VE HAD MY TRUCK FOR 3 MONTHS NO PROBLEMS SO FAR ,I'VE NOTICED THAT THE 07 IS BETTER ON ALL PERFORMANCE'S. AVERAGE GAS I GET IS 18 MPG ,WHICH IS GOOD FOR A V-8 THIS SIZE ,NO PROBLEM WITH MY BREAKS. WHEN I PULL ANYTHING I HAVE NO PROBLEM GOING UPHILL OR DOWNHILL, I'M GLAD THAT I WENT WITH THIS TRUCK INSTEAD OF A DOGE , FORD , OR CHEVY.
OVERALL THIS TRUCK ROCKS!!!...read morehide
