I bought a base Nissan as I only wanted a work truck for towing and hauling. I'm not a big fan of bells and whistles because that is something that will just cause me problems later on. I have to say this has been a great truck! Yes it has problems - rear seals go in the rearend due to a very poorly designed vent that is easily fixed (it only allows airflow in one direction - out), reports of the rear sliding glass leaking - but nothing major. This truck comes standard with 317HP & 375 ft lbs torque (385 in some circles of reporting), factory skid plates, factory transmission cooler with is own electric fan, and factory oil cooler. Of course if you don't get the "big tow package" you have to buy relays to make you trailer lights and such work which is annoying. You can also get a factory brake controller harness and boom, you have trailer brakes. That is real nice. The truck is comfortable to ride in although it can be rough on back roads but then it is a truck. I have taken long trips without any problems. The curve of the nose makes it hard to judge distance in tight situations though. I believe this to be a fantastic truck with many years of life to go. I am very pleased to have this vehicle in my arsenal of vehicles and do not regret buying it for one minute. Heck right now the bed is full with about a cord of wood and it only makes the truck drive even better. Mileage: I do about 75% city driving and so far have averaged between 15-16 mpg. I can easily get 19 on the highway if you drive the speed limit and don't hot-rod it but with the monster of an engine this truck has, that is hard to do. 3/36 warranty is not good Nissan.
