- Pros
- Looks, fuel Economy, Fun to drive.
- Cons
- Needed new clutch and Flywheel within 8,000 miles. $2192.05 local Dealership
You would think I was riding the clutch, nope.
Burnouts from everystop sign, nope, well maybe 1 out of 50.
I have owned numerous manual vehicles in the past. Most were 1.6 or 2.4 liter vehicles that were not made to be sports cars and I drove them much the same way I drive my 350Z. I never needed to replace a cluth on any of them. MY advice is if your buying a 350Z for performance you may want to reconsider....read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Excellent Acceleration and performance, Overall Apperance and Styling!!!
- Cons
- Rear window visibilty is a little scary, but not a huge deal.
I just purchased the car and I am higly impressed. Nissan has really done a good job with this one. The acceleration is very impressive and when coupled with the high performance suspension you get a real sports car feel while driving. There are so many useful options with this car and the standard equipment is more than enough to satisfy. One thing though, I have the Bose system, but I am not really very impressed with the sound quality. At low volumes it sounds great, but so does just about any radio. It's when you turn it up a little that you really start to notice the difference. The bass is very distorted and it doesn't feel like there is a enclosed subwoofer. Anyway, it's not too bad when all you can really complain about is the stereo! Hope this helps....read morehide

- Pros
- great accelleration, very agressive look - moves poeple out of the passing lane - my ambulance, LOL
- Cons
- rough ride, tire roar if using OEM tires, rattling parts inside (windows, mirror, dash, etc)
great auto - amazing accell. very sporty look - i get lots of compliments even from porche and vette drivers.
downside to the z:
fast tire wear, noise, and other glitches. first, the wierd treadwear and tire roar are both related to the OEM tires and front-end allignment. The good thing is that once the horrible OEM BFGoodrich Potenzas are worn (5K - 10K!!) you can replace them with something better (i reccomend the cheaper but better AVON Tech M500 Ultra High Performance Summer or All Seasons) to bring down the noise and reduce rough ride. get the warranty covered front-end allignment and walla - smooth quiet ride with long lasting treads. second, look through the net for all TSBs (technical service bulletins) that have been issued for the Z and take them to the dealer - i did and they fixed all of them for free! these include interior rattle, rear axle clicking when in 1st gear, oil streaks on windows, clicking when windows are rolled up, rattling transmission, etc...LOL I know it's a lot but Nissan has issued TSBs on all of them - find the TSBs and take them to you dealer. they worked on all of mine (8 total) for free.
upside to the z:
look at this car!!!! it's a head turner - i always feel embarrassed when people stare at me (or the car) when i'm driving around...luckily i always leave them far behind. passing accelleration is exhilarating. the engine purrrrs - it's beautiful...i love to tap the gas just a little and hear the engine as i wait to take off at a trafic light. handling is amazing - i take corners and ramps at insane speeds and have yet to even hear a sqeal. and like i said, people look at their rearview mirror and scoot over to the right lane...it's almost like driving an ambulance!!!...read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Lots of power, great handling and cool looks
- Cons
- Paint chips are a fact of life, backing out of parking spaces a challange
This is a super cool car. For the past 12 years Ive been riding sports bikes because I couldn't find a car that would match the performance I wanted and would not require a second mortgage. That was the case until I got this car. Now my Ducati rests at the far side of the garage and my Z takes center stage. Life is good in rainey Bellevue.
More to the point: It has lots of power and is very responsive. It accelerates extremely well on dry and wet roads, it handles very well on both dry and wet roads and it stops when you need it to --shine or rain. Steering is tight and allows for excellent control and the throttle is impressively responsive.
So it rides like a dream and I no longer get wet or cold. The heated, leather seats are wonderful, I love the sound of the engine and the swooshing sound of wet roads echoing through the trunk. The side mirrors offer excellent passing visibility but you have to be really careful when backing out of parking spaces or driveway.
The audio system is good and the instrument panel leaves you wonting for nothing. In other words, I wouldnt change a thing (well, maybe Id move the glove compartment to the front, but hell who really needs it in a sports car anyway).
Id say this is a great buy, which comes highly recommended from a former wet biker :-)...read morehide1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Decent sports car for the money.
- Cons
- Tire cupping, window grease streaks, axel issues, transmission issues.
To make a long story short I, amoung many thousands of others, have sued Nissan due to the multiple defects found with this car. Luckly it only took one year for my case to go through. Nissan North America did not even try to fight my case. They gave me a full buy back. I am not writing this article to badmouth this car but to warn others who may be looking at them to buy. STAY AWAY! Or else you will need new front tires every 5,000 miles. However, in my case I am happy that I got a free car for 2.5 years :)
There is also a class-action lawsuit aginst NNA due to the tire issue. The 2003, 2004, and 2005s all have it. The 2003 and 2004 model year cars also are very prone to the transimission and axel issues. My car was a 2004.5 model year....read morehide6 out of 7 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- HP okay, torque works, suspension is great, seating for 2 is just perfect. Quizzy sits in the back.
- Cons
- Bought this Z for my honey thinking she'd let me drive it once and awhile. Hasn't happened yet.
When I was a bit younger I had a 67 Olds 442 convertable that my wife just loved and would die for. Actually, I almost died when I traded it in on a 74 VW bus. I've not heard the end of that situation until I bought her a 2005 350Z a couple of months ago. She loves it. Coming home from the beach one weekend we came upon some switch backs with a suggested speed of 40. Before I could get out we doubled that and the car handled perfectly. She had a smile on her face that lasted the next 50 miles. Our MinPin "Quizzy" had the same smile on her face....read morehide

- Pros
- LOOKS GREAT, SOUNDS GREAT, I LOVE IT
- Cons
- STIF STEERING AND FRONT END ROAD NOISE
I put 2530 miles on my 2004 350z touring edition in a month and can tell you that at 11900 miles I am completely satisfied with the purchase. It accelerates hard, it corners even better, and the fuel economy is exceptional (if you drive responsibly). It took me about a month to get used to the stiff steering but it probably isn't that big of a deal unless you shave your legs and arm pits. As for the front end road noise, it really only bothers you when stopping. For me the pros vastly out weigh the cons. If I knew then what I know now I would have still made the purchase. Good luck finding a car that fits your personality I know I did....read morehide
