I purchased a 2003 z in Aug 2003 and just sold it yesterday for 3k. I bought for 29,999 and I have every reciept for repairs and spent over $20,000 in repairs. Everything went wrong with this car. It goes thru tires like its at the Daytona 500, I'd say I replaced 40 tires on it. The automatic windows go on the fritz, had to replace motors. Replaced about 6 sensors from idle to emmissions. The fuel gauge didn't work properly. This must be the hardest car in the world to align and balance b/c never got a smooth ride. The temp gauge would increase in the summer and with the air on. Would have to run the heat on high to lower temp...fun fun. O2 sensor, catalitic converter problem. Expect to pay $800 FOR SIMPLE TUNE UP. Then it starts to eat thru oil. I estimated I spent in excess of $65,000 for this vehicle on top of high insurance and high gasoline costs. This car is only for warm climate b/c it becomes a sled in any type of light snow. I owned and 1985 300zx 2+2 and I had a bad idea to buy the new 350 when it came out in 03, it turned out to be a $65,000 dollar MISTAKE. Stay away from Nissan. American cars are probably making a decent come back no a days with the Charger and Camaro....read morehide
