Honestly, this car is awesome and I am in the Auto Industry. I drive cars of all Years, Makes and Model's up to a 100 G's. Even at the end of the day, I'm not even close to being happy getting into my Altima S at the end of the night. Bought it brand new and the Cons are really just being picky. If you upgrade to the Bose Premium Sounds, expect to replace battery around 30-40k. Get the Power Windows checked out before your Warranty Expires. Replace stock Brake Pads with Ceramics or Kevlar's around 50k. Nothing to do about the seats, but it's not a Cadillac and I take 6 hour trips between Philly and Pitt. Excellent Fuel Economy, CVT Transmission is awesome with spectacular Acceleration, Premium Sound by Bose is a good upgrade with Rearview Camera. If you paid extra for the Navigation, well you're an idiot because Garmin's are 100 bucks at Best Buy and way better....read morehide

- Really sharp looking,handles great!
- Cons
- Power Windows

I have always compared any cars to my favorite 68 Mustang before I drove this and now I compare another car that I drive to this car. It corners, accelerates and handles better and is more fun to drive than my old 68 Mustang. I am always getting compliments on how good it looks especially from the back. The Dual climate controls for each side of the car makestrips with my wife more enjoyable as she can be on 90Derees and I can be on 60 degrees keeping each person happy. The BIG back up camera is really NICE and useful. There are 2 minor drawbacks. One being the drivers side seatbelt doesn't retract right all the time. Two and the one I find the most annoying is the power windows. In the winter time they lose power with any ice on them and you can't get them back up, if you roll them down like when you are trying to get moisture off of them so that you can see better. The seals on them arn't tight. I don't think that I get the stated value of what they say you are supposed to get as far as MPG. I think it is a little less. Overall, A really sharp good looking car that hanles very, very well!...read morehide

I definitely enjoy driving this car, I enjoy being able to record my own misic in the music box at this time , I have about 100 CDs recorded. I have had only small problems withe this Auto, I leased it in May of 2010, the minor problems were easily and quickly fixed, I do think Nissan could easily make it a little quieter.I have been well satisfied with the dealership.......read morehide

I bought this car brand new. I have had issues with it from day one. The car squeaks, rattles and pops. I had to have a new engine at 52000 miles. The rear window quit working at about 6 months old. The paint quality is terrible. The leather seats are like sitting on a wooden chair and the headrest pushes my head forward. SO UNCOMFORTABLE!! Now, the car simply won't start at all. It has 58,000 miles! This seems to be an issue with the security system. I will NEVER buy another Nissan....read morehide

- Pros
- Looks, drives, decent overall operation of
- Cons
- Low quality interior cloth as in arm rest, seat covers

Car had sqeaky grabbing front brakes from day one. At 25k miles I installed high quality ceramic pads on fronts, fixed that issue. At 20k miles engine developed slight knock when cold, but went away after warm up, I started using semi-synthetic oil. For warranty work on the cylinderhead, the dealer drained my semi-synthetic oil and installed regular oil. Then the knocking was way more noticeable when the engine was cold, but went away when warm. Went back to the dealer, it was diagnosed with worn rod bearings. They checked the camshafts and found scoring, so they replaced the motor with a remanufactured motor. that was at 44k miles. I have been told this has been issue for a while, but the dealer has never seen this before. The next week the fuel gauge would not go to full when filled. That problem has since went away. CVT trans has stuck in a mid range area after stopping, only to have the car literally take off when the gas pedal was touched. Power windows have stopped in down positions. Found spray silicone has temp solved that. All (lite tan)interior cloth gets dirty very easy and is next to impossible to clean. Am I happy, no. Is it a decent car, without the problems it would be!!!!! The dealer has been awesome, no complaints there....read morehide

I bought my 2010 Altima 3.5 SR August 8, 2010. I looked at and test drove many new cars before buying this one.I was looking for a sedan with a V-6, black on black and no options.Hard to find one like that. The Altima 3.5 SR is well equipped without options. It has all power[including a power drivers seat], tilt, cruise, and a nice, leather wrapped steering wheel. The driver has a very comfortable seat. In the time that I have owned it,[18 months & 11,400 miles], no warranty work. I repeat, no apparent defects. I am 58 and have owned a lot of new vehicles. This is my first to never go back to the dealer to fix a manufacturing defect! The 3.5 SR is a fast, powerful sedan. The 270 h.p. engine revs willingly and effortlessly well beyond the posted speed limit. The Altima 3.5 SR is fine around town, but really excels on the highway. The only drawback is an occasional muted kick thru the suspension [I took off 1 point from comfort for that reason; could've been a half point]. The exhaust has a nice sound, as does the engine. Neither are intrusive In fact, the Altima is fairly quiet, much quieter than a Honda Accord! M.P.G. for me averages around 24. 19 in the city, 27-28 at a steady70 mph. I am happy with the mpg. It has been better than I thought it would be. The dashboard is nicely laid out; the controls are easy to use. Visability to the front is very good/excellant. Visability to the sides is good, but the rear vis. is only fair. Backing up is a guessing game; the backup camera would be nice. The rear camera is only available as part of an expensive option package, though. The CVT[automatic transmission], takes some getting used to. It has a 10 year, 120,000 mile full warranty though, which is better than most cars. To sum up: Performance, Reliability, Fun to drive, Value more than compensate for the Altimas [few] shortcomings....read morehide

- Pros
- Sporty look, good gas mileage, nice power for small engine.
- Cons
- Front Seats are hard, no fog lights on 2.5S

Have had this car for 6 months and now have 5500 miles on it. No problems so far.
Sporty look for a Midsized Sedan especially if a OEM spoiler is added . Good Gas Mileage and large 20 gallon tank. CVT Transmission offers smooth transitions on accelerations and on inclines on highways. Good power for small engine.
Front Seats are hard, but I was used to a Large SUV's. Base Models do not come with fog lights leaving a bumper that looks like they are missing. (Had to buy and install)
Have had this car for 6 months and now have 5500 miles on it. No problems so far. Bought it to replace a gas guzzler. Plan on keeping it for at least 120,000 miles, time with tell....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Good gas mileage, stylish, affordable

- Can't think of any!!
Purchased As New
I bought this car last May brand new and have not one complaint. I drive 23 miles each way to work and back home, and even with gas being $4/gallon right now I still only fill up once a week. I don't have any unusual noises and all of the components in the car works as they should. I did have a warning a few months ago that my oil cap was loose, but I took it to the dealership to have it reset and haven't had to go back since for anything. I love this car!!...read morehide
