2006 Nissan Armada User Reviews
4X4 SE Off-Road shown
- $11,882 - $14,789
- size, spaciousness, comfort, quietness on the insides, handles like a smaller suv
- gas mileage, engine noise a little loud
I have owned a suburban for years. The armada takes big suv to a new level. I am 6'5" and have plenty of room. Those that sit behind me have plenty of room. The cup holders are put in a good position. Nice big sunroof/moonroof. I will keep this vehicle for the next 10 years. This vehicle has awesome power! I have test driven everything in its class. Nothing has the same power for the same money. The vehicle is beefy! It says get out of my way and hear me roar as I pass you......read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
How true is it that most dealership can't sell this vehicle that's why they are offering a big discount for it. i saw a dealership that has a huge sticker that says $8000 off

- Very spacious, massive road presence, remarkable performance, quite, easy-to-use instrumental panel
- slightly rough ride, slight engine noise, unimpressive gas mileage
From the time I first test drove this magnificient beast, I knew this is what I wanted. It's good value for money since it has plenty of standard features although my kids miss DVD. Instrumental panel is well placed, the gear shift is very well positioned unlike other SUVs. This 6000 lb Titan based SUV has a decent punch that can give Lexus GS300 a stunning chase to 80mph. Has loads of road presence but rack-on-pinion steering is a little too sensitive! Over all, a great day-to-day use SUV....read morehide

- DVD system excellent, rear camera very helpful, fast and lots of space
- ride is smooth in city, cornering is a tricky, standard tyres need to be replaced.
good overall car, entertainment system is fantastic and a must. rear camera is very helpful and should have for safety reasons.
acceleration is quick and immediate, unlike other big SUV this one delivers power on demand. it is exactly what it is called an Armada space and more space, tires need to be bigger the standard tired are not enough. air-con is excellent and the mirrors are nice and big.
the dash could have been bitter with blue and red lights. steering controls are easy and handy. riding in the city is a breeze, it feels great. handling and overtaking on the freeway is fast and easy (everyone gets out of your way hee hee). turning is a bit tricky but its the same on the Nissan patrol as well. parking is made easier with the help of sensors and and rear camera.
design and look wise its the awesome, but i wish Nissan had added the chrome to the rear door handle as well. also in the front bumber you can see the radiator fan they should have covered it with a grill or something. the silencer at the back looks like the one on the GMC, wish it was hidden under the bumper. the seats are great and getting to the 3rd row seats is a breeze. people sitting in the 3rd row will enjoy the view of the road. overall i think its a good machine and if space is what you are looking for with a powerful engine then Armada is the one for you....read morehide

- Stiff ride, fuel economy, creaky DVD housing, mud flaps should be standard
2004 model is a beautiful machine, travels great as long as there are 4 people. Fifth person creates space problem. Heard about brake issues, have 8500 miles no problems with brakes. Gas mileage Sux however it is a large covered truck.Should have chrome on all models for curb appeal. Great machine for recreational use not everyday. DVD player needs to be built with some type of interior suspention device to eliminate the creaky sound. Love the vehicle over all....read morehide

- room, acceleration, looks, & OK price
- Bad over little bumps, GAS MILAGE CITY & HIGHWAY, & the orange instrument pannel is hard to read.
--The room in this vehicle is outstanding except when the third row is up, there is minimal room in cargo.
--The acceleration is pretty good for a 6000 pound vehicle.
--Many compliments on the looks.
--The price is reasonable.
--Over little bumps the SUV shakes.
--GAS MILAGE, for my 4x2 its 13 city and 19 highway.
--The orange instrument pannel is very hard to read (blue or red is easier on the eyes & to read) & the steering wheel (radio control & cruise control) controls NEED to be illuminated, for safety reasons.
--A little bit noisy
--Recommend optional rear entertainment package, keeps the kids quiet and the wireless headphones are great.
--Eight coats of paint!
--The standred rear liftgate is a nice addition to the car....read morehide

- Exterior and Interior Quality and Styling. Ride is good, but is firm. Off road ability.
- none really, but the fuel economy is bad...not as bad as a suburban say, but its still pretty bad!
I have loved my nissan armada. Some reviewers say that they dont like the interior on this suv, i dont know what they are talking about. I have the black exterior LE with sand interior leather. It is a beautiful combo! The Rear view backup camera is a nice touch also, seats are comfortable and supportive. Also rear seats have plenty of room for fully grown adults! There is plenty of power availible at all times. I have had no problems so far. I do also have a suburban and i must say that almost everything is much improved over the BLAND suburban! You should really consider this car its Awesome!...read morehide

- Lots of passanger room, Option for option price much lower then other full size suv,
- Sat radio looses signal alot, needs power folding side view mirrors.
The Armada is a great full size suv more room then chevy and just as big as ford. The ride is better then most full size SUVs the gas milage could be better, but if your towing you dont look at the MPG. The Armada can tow just over 9000 bls which is the highest in its class even the Durango with a Hemi falls short of that mark. The four wheel drive system is great, you have four different setting to choose, 2WD, AUTO4, 4HI, and 4LO. With the Auto4 and VDC on this baby stays on track and under controll. If I had to buy over again I would be driving the Armada. One bad thing I had brake problems at first but my dealer and Nissan corrected the problem and they did a good job of it too. If you are thinking of this SUV and another one i would lean tword the armada. I drive a 2005 Armada LE 4WD...read morehide
