Have been watching the car since it first came out. Initially I was not impressed with the limited driving ranging. Bought the car 6 months ago and drove 50-60 miles daily on mostly highway commute. The electricity for daily charging costs about $1.20 + tax. The acceleration is good, compared to the V6 I last had, thanks to the electric motor. The car will soon need its first 7,500 mile service. The service is very simple and includes tire rotation and a couple of minor checks....read morehide

I got my leaf in december of last year and i love it. I drive it to work every day 40 miles one way and have no problems with it. I have around 6000 miles on it and have not had to do anything to it. It cost around 1.50 a day here in nc to charge it that is a lot less than the 12 dollars a day i was spending in gas. I also love the fact that i am doing a small part to make the planet a greener place for all of us. The car is so advanced that you can charge it late at night at non peak hours you also can pre heat or cool the car. The best part is driving by all those gas stations even as the price is going up everyday and knowing that i do not have to stop there anymore that is so cool. I save around 60 dollars a week now that i have this car. That money is going it to my savings account and not into the pockets of the big oil companies. I QUIT the big oil company and my savings account loves it. I also love the polar bear commerical for the leaf and the small amount that this car does for the better of the planet....read morehide

- Pros
- It's actually fun to drive
- Cons
- You can't drive across the country, but that's not really an issue

The Leaf is the coolest car I've ever owned, and I've owned a 1972 BMW 2002 tii. This thing is fun to drive, but not in the usual way. It's mainly just fun to drive by gas stations, and know that I don't have to spend any money on gasoline, 20% of which goes directly to Saudi Arabia.

This is truly the car that would save the planet. Everything about it is simply amazing.
First of all, it's completely, zero-emmissions electric. it will not harm the environment one bit (unlike the pathetic prius), goes fast enough for a family hatch, does not take unnecessarily long to recharge, and drives quite well.
It comes in a variety of colors, all of which look good, and even has metallic and pearlescent options, for those who like to spend money on paint finishes. Even the paint used to color the LEAF is as environmentally friendly as possible.
It happens to be very affordable, costing just over 26,000 euro, and on the inside, is quite worth what you spend. yes, it is a bit compact, but there is enough leg room in the back, and there's even an acceptably sized booth. I see no reason why you should't buy this car....read morehide1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
