2013 Nissan LEAF User Reviews
- $28,800 - $34,840
- quiet cabin, smooth ride, value, 100% electric
- limited range, cloth seat quality, froggy like design

we leased our leaf SV model with LED+quick charge packge, which comes with all the standard features including nav, heated seats, heated steering wheels with Nissan suggest using instead of car heater when it's cold. this supposedly saves you from reduced driving range.
this car is something different because it's 100% electric. acceratlion is smooth and quick thanks to the electric motor torque. ride is firm and ok with alot of standard features. Navigation with what they call it 'carwings' is standard on this package. it remotely tells you the status of the car including the range is has left and you can even turn on the AC remotely to get the cabin cooled down before you get in.
this car is larger then you think. the body stands tall thanks to the battery packs laid out underneath the floor of the cabin. interior and trunk space is very spacious even for tall people. i'm 6'2" and seat comforably front or the back seat. becuase if's electric motor, the acceration is quicker than I thought and very quiet ride throughout. very impressive and different than the gasoline cars. I was able to drive one out for $ 5k down and $ 229 a month for 15k annual mileage lease. you may be able to do better on this but my point in this is that this car is very reasonablly prices for EV.
design can improve overall, it's looking very quriky almost frog-like looking front and back and the recycled seating cloth can improve as well. drive range can vary depending on the way you drive and the terrain conditions as well, but expect 75 miles on full on highways and 85 miles on local streets on ECO mode. some claim they did much better than that, but it all depends on how they drive.
I like this car. It's quick, quiet and quality built. Nissan is building on a really nice platform and sure have advantage over other brands. With the federal/state rebates and benefits, price should be within reasonable range for most consumers out there as well....read morehide

I have leased the Leaf and have been quite happy with the purchase. Love that there is no gas engine, which means there is virtually no maintenance. It is very quick lots of torque as you would expect from an electric motor. The cost of these is modest considering you don't have to pay for gas. Before deciding add up the cost of a gas vehicle plus your gas cost and you will find value in this car. We pay about $0.12 per hour for electricity....read morehide

I just purchased a Volkswagen Jetta TDI (used), primarily as a fuel-saver with an eye on quality. I WANTED a Nissan LEAF, but let's face it - I cannot afford its price.
If the idea is to start a revolution for new approaches to transportation, those approaches are going to have to be within reach of you and I.
I don't know about you, but I can't even consider this price....read morehide
