Purchased As New
Nissan of Royal Palm Beach will not honor their warranties. I bought my car brand new, with only eight miles on it. 2 months after my purchase the rear window became unglue, unbelieveable. Nissan tried to say it was something I did, but I told them give me a break. I gave them a check for 40,000 for the purchase of the vechicle and how many times do a back window of a car become unglued and opened to the point that the security system rings. With mixed words they fixed the window in the car. Now after having the car a little over a year, the car is having major transmission problems. First, the transmission would not shift. The car has a CVT transmission and when the car is accelerated up to 30-40 MPH the car would up to 40,000 RPM and would not shift down. The car started having transmission problem about 10:30 at night, so a friend came to help me and noted that the car had no transmission fluid in it, so he bought 1 1/4 quart of AFT and put it in the car. I took the car to Nissan the next morning and told them what happen with the car and quickly they said your warranty is void because of the ATF that was put in was the wrong fluid. I was told that a few other people had this same proble that week. My point is that if this is a major problem why is the sales reps not alerting the consumer about this during the sale of the car. They should tell the consumer that there is a CVT transmission in the car and it takes a special ATF. Why let the consumer fall into the problem then say your warranty is void and it is in your book; at the back of the book. How many people read the entire service book when they buy a new caw. I am sure it is not many. It is my perception that Nissan sold me a lemon and they are hiding behind AFT. When Nissan did the inspection on my car they found a tranmission leak at the extension housing but they refused to look at that. They have no respect for the consumer and in my opinion they are high tech thieves and God will deal with them. They are not "too big" to fail.
