- Comfortable. Spacious. Handling is very good. CVT!
- Rides high -- backing up can be tough for some.
Purchased As New
We have the 2009 Murano for one year. Murano is performing exactly as expected -- my wife and I are very pleased. The 2010 is alike 2009. Look for 2010 Murano at end-of-model-year discounts! Murano is a spacious car -- the mpg is on-par or above larger heavier vehicles -- CVT makes a difference. Beware nay-sayers. Test drive to confirm....read morehide

- needs maintenance frequently
Purchased As New
I have a 2006 Nissan Murano and had to replace the battery in less than 2 years and the warranty did not cover the entire price. I also have a leeking power steering fluid hose that needs to be replace and it has taken over 4 weeks to get the new part because they are on back order and they don't know when they will get the part....read morehide

- Stupid "features" include windows that roll down in the rain when you have the key fob
- Terrible visibility, ugly tail lights, Jerky acceleration from stop, counter-intuitive controls.
Small cargo area, Roof antenna interferes with any roof box. This car is super hard to wash. tons of nooks and crannies.

- Good ride, spacious enough for a tall person. 18" wheels. Prem pkg with BOSE speakers and subwoofer
- Blindspot is a major disadvantage. Not enough space in the trunk and in cabin for all our clutter
I have just had it for four days. The ride is good. Vehicle is stylish and has 18" wheels. Yet to determine MPG. Got it at $27K with premium pkg and other minuscle options. Wish there were more storage space in the front cabin. I like it and is worthy enough if you can bargain much.
A major drawback is the blindspot. The window at the rear is a little too small and the rear seats obscure some view at the corner. You'll have to solely depend on the outside rear view mirror. Other than this and a little space, the auto is very good.

- Fantastic car, great ride!!
- takes some time to get use to how wide the car is
Would totally buy another one again. We bought ours one year agao and we have driven in the snow and had no problems with it. Im sure the 4 wheel drive one is better in the snow. But we havent had one problem, and we spent the winter in Flagstaff Az.

- Sleek car with many bells and whisles of the higher end crossover vehicles
- Gas mileage is not up to par. Major design flaw on the moon roof design. Read below for more info.
In regards to the design disaster. The area just above the front windshield but not the moon roof. Most cars have a metal strip that runs across the top of the windshield. NOT this design. NO they chose to run dark tinted glass across the top of the windshield. I know it sounds completely stupid since rocks will hit this area over and over again, but they did put it. Here is the greatest part about this situation. Sit down for this part. Nissan wants $3200 to fix this 3ft by 4in. strip of glass because they said it is a part of the entire roof system and so the entire system must be changed at a cost of $2700 for the system and $500 for the labor. For a $50 piece of glass?? You can obviously tell that the glass has nothing to do with the system once you open your moon roof. Unfortunately my dealership didn't even know that this partition between the windshield and the moon roof was glass not metal. They were half as shocked as me. Trust me. Unfortunately they would only get me the price of the investment. They refused to call and challenge Nissan on this rediculous design error. Great service after the Sell JP Thibideaux, N.I., La. I hear ya. I purchased 2 of these cars and this is the service I get for standing in line first to buy the '09 models??? Never again. Do not buy this car for just the looks unless you want to spend your savings account on fixing shattered glass that should amount to a dab of paint over metal. StateFarm is tossing their cookies only after I tossed mine when I told them....read morehide

- Very quiet, tight handling, luxurious interior
- Needs to have backup alarm
We just bought our Murano about three weeks ago and are really enjoying it! I traded in my Nissan Quest that I really liked because I didn't need the third row seating anymore. I knew I would like to buy a crossover that wasn't too big so I did alot of research before I started looking. The Murano drove like a car instead of a SUV. I love the luxurious interior and the sporty exterior. We cannot believe how quiet the engine is! When you're stopped you would almost think that the engine has gone dead. It makes traveling with someone so nice because you can hear each other so easily! (The Quest was not so quiet!) I love the screen that shows what's behind you when you're backing up. However, I do wish that it had the backup alarm that beeps if anything is close when you're in reverse. The Quest had this and it makes you very dependent on it. I also love how comfortable the seats are and the Bose sound system. Our girls love how roomy and comfortable the back seat is. It will be great for vacations. There is also ample room in the cargo space. We did not choose to get a sunroof this time because I never touched mine on the Quest. I was a little concerned that it might seem a little more closed in but I have not missed that feature at all. Needless to say we think Nissan has really outdone themselves with the new 09 Murano and we are thrilled with our choice!...read morehide

- Good gas mileage, fun to drive, comfortable, and lots of room.
- Wished the doors unlocked when you put the car in park. You have to wait until you kill the engine.
I have wanted a Nissan Murano for 5 years. Little did I know that I would own a 2009 before they ever hit the dealerships. I got mine off the truck still in paper. I love it!!! I've had SUVs before and this one is PERFECT!!!! I've had it for 1 month and I can't imagine driving anything else. I will definitely keep it!...read morehide

- Fuel economy is decent for the size of the vehilce, the GPS is awesome, the stereo sound is unreal
- So far none.
I have had my 09 for 3 weeks so far and I am enjoying it very much. I had an 06 BMW 325i, which I loved that vehicle very much but I wanted to get an SUV or Cross Over. BMW X3 and X5 is over priced. I did a great deal of research and I found the Murano to be priced just right for everything I wanted. It put's the so called luxury SUV's to shame. I purchased a Black on Black fully loaded SL and it is awesome. The voice command is great, the seat's are comfortable, it's a very quiet ride. So far I have nothing negative to say about this vehicle. I recommend if your looking for an Outstanding Cross Over then make sure you test drive the Murano, I truly think you will be very satisfied. It's the Bang For the Buck....read morehide
