Owned 3 Muranos consecutively and were intrigued by the pathfinder. Test drove one and bought it on the spot. Basically a larger Murano. Gauges are great, interior feels upscale and love the 4 wheel drive system. Pull a snowmobile trail or and this will be perfect.

- Pros
- Quiet, comfortable, smooth, great gas mileage
- Cons
- None so far
Purchased As New
I just bought the Platinum 2wd and drove it about 500 miles. This car is smooth and comfortable. CVT matches the engine and works extremely well. Gas mileage thus far is 22 MPG (calculated) on mixed city and highway driving.
I had traded in my 2011 MDX because of terrible gas mileage and very rough ride. I was getting only 16 MPG on mixed driving. In city driving this was only getting 12 MPG which is horrible. I know I lost $$ overall with the trade but I'm extremely satisfied and happy with the Pathfinder....read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Great seating room in all three rows, even for adults. excellent mpg for large car
Purchased As New
More solid and quieter ride than Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander.
Much more headroom in third row than Mazda CX-9. If you need a comfortable, high mpg vehicle that holds a full-sized family of six and is not a minivan, give the Nissan Pathfinder a hard look.3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- quiet, roomy, plenty of bells and whistles, and great gas milage
- Cons
- nothing so far but I've just had it a few weeks

I was thinking of replacing my old Murano S with a new Murano SL with all the bells and whistles. Along the way the salesman said I should at least test drive a new Pathfinder. Drove it and fell in love. I"m an old Tahoe guy (owned 4 of them) and downsized to a Murano a few years ago. Murano was big enough for 90% of the time but the Pathfinder feels like my cake and eat it too. I've got a Tahoe-ish sized vehicle that's getting close to 21mpg around town (actually considerably better than the old Murano and way better than the old Tahoe's that managed 16 mpg if I drove carefully). It's quiet, rattle free, and has the best sound system I've ever had. It rides great. I questioned if the larger Pathfinder would feel as quick as my x-Murano with the same power-train. Absolutely no complaints about that. It feels just as quick as the Murano. I never had trouble with either Murano I had. It's way to early to give Reliabiity the top score so I gave it a 4. Remains to be seen, I gave appearance a 4 as well. I'm not a fan of the new across the board look of the grills on all the new Nissans although I like the somewhat simplified nose of the Pathfinder. My favorite grill is the Maxima that has a shark-like appearance. I absolutely love the car although I think it's visually mediocre....read morehide

Just traded in my BMW X5. So the pathfinder obviously doesn't have the same get up and go, but other than that, it is awesome. We looked at everything and almost bought the Ford Explorer, but when I looked at the pathfinder, it was a no brainer. More room, roomy 3rd row, sliding 2nd row, heated 2nd row seats, power hatch--things I couldn't have gotten on the Ford Explorer without going to the limited edition. Cant be happier!!...read morehide

still debating whether to go with the new pathfinder or the lexus, i mean the maxima has 290 hp, the infiniti ex has 325 hp, not sure why the new pathfinder has only 260hp.

I got the fully loaded model with all the toys. No complaints yet at 110 miles on the odo...LOL.
Lots of room, nice 13 speaker stereo system, however I cannot locate but 11 speakers...help!
I highly recommend to someone looking at Pilot, or any other seven seater SUV.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- Very nice ride. Smooth, comfortable, quiet.
- Cons
- Just a bit sluggish at times but not a big deal.

This is a very luxurious SUV. Compared it to the Toyota 4-Runner and there is no match in the interior quality. The Toyota Highlander is nice, but just didn't catch my eye. Lots of head room and leg room, which is needed for a tall person like myself. It leans more toward looking like a van than an SUV. I'm used to a tall, climb-in type SUV and this one sits closer to the ground. Guess that is an advantage for a lot of people though....read morehide

I love this suv I am always with nissan because they make very reliable cars. Blemishes were pathfinder and armada. finally they fixed the former. Next should be Armada. Buy this vehicle. It is the best out their for middle income families.

- Pros
- Wonderful Ride, Smooth as silk. Good mileage for a big SUV
- Cons
- Slightly underpowered engine
Purchased As New
This SUV rides like a dream. The interior is very comfortable it is like driving around in a nice recliner. I have been getting around 19 MPG city which is very good for a vehicle of this size. The engine is slightly underpowered 260HP. Another 10-20 HP would probably not impact MPG but it is what it is.
After test driving and looking at Toyota, Ford, GM, Honda, Lexus, Infiniti (Nissan of course) for me the Pathfinder was the best of the bunch.
Other than the Toyota Highlander all other SUV felt cramp and my knees would hit the dash or console. Yes, even Ford and GM had this issue for my height....read morehide6 out of 6 people found this review helpful.
