Purchased As New
I was thinking of replacing my old Murano S with a new Murano SL with all the bells and whistles. Along the way the salesman said I should at least test drive a new Pathfinder. Drove it and fell in love. I"m an old Tahoe guy (owned 4 of them) and downsized to a Murano a few years ago. Murano was big enough for 90% of the time but the Pathfinder feels like my cake and eat it too. I've got a Tahoe-ish sized vehicle that's getting close to 21mpg around town (actually considerably better than the old Murano and way better than the old Tahoe's that managed 16 mpg if I drove carefully). It's quiet, rattle free, and has the best sound system I've ever had. It rides great. I questioned if the larger Pathfinder would feel as quick as my x-Murano with the same power-train. Absolutely no complaints about that. It feels just as quick as the Murano. I never had trouble with either Murano I had. It's way to early to give Reliabiity the top score so I gave it a 4. Remains to be seen, I gave appearance a 4 as well. I'm not a fan of the new across the board look of the grills on all the new Nissans although I like the somewhat simplified nose of the Pathfinder. My favorite grill is the Maxima that has a shark-like appearance. I absolutely love the car although I think it's visually mediocre.
