I have had my '07Senctra since 11/06 and just had my transmission replaced for the second time...thats 3 transmissions in 3 years! When I asked the service department why this was happening, I got the good/bad news....they are extending the warranty of the transmission to 10 yrs/120K...so luckily I will not have to pay for one ever, but scary to think they do not know how to fix the engineering flaws in the CVT and are putting in re-manufactured ones, across the board, not knowing if these will last either!! I would wait a few years and give them some time to figure it out before buying. They said a bulletin will be going out shortly to notify owners....read morehide

- nice looking, great in gas, lots of room, lots of air bags, and of course it gets going in a hurry
- could have been dropped a few inches, radio goes up and down at certain peaks of volume

- Fun to drive, economical, large trunk, good rear seat access/room
- No Bluetooth, rear seat doesn't fold down, no rear seat cup holders, no keyless
For several months I have been looking for an additional vehicle to use as a daily driver. I wanted something fun, economical and roomy enough for at least 4 adults. I looked at Mazda3 and SPEED3, VW Eos and GTI, MINI, Pontiac G5/G6, etc. The Sentra SE-R Spec V provides the best overall package. It gives up performance compared to some of the others, but it is still a blast to drive and it more than makes up for the performance shortfall given the price. You'll only miss the power if you are racing. I was willing to give up two rear doors, but didn't have to with this vehicle. I was disappointed that some items available on the 2.0 weren't available on this model, refer to Cons. The 10.5 compression engine does need 91 octane for best performance. I have used 87 octane and the acceleration was not noticeably slower and the engine didn't knock, but for warranty considerations I typically use 91 octane....read morehide

- Good fuel economy for its size and horse power (SER SPEC V)
- ...PREMIUM FUEL ONLY!
The only downside with owning the SE-R SPEC V is the premium fuel only...what's up with that? I could understand if I'm driving a Lamborghini Diablo or something similar. At any rate, the Nissan Sentra SE-R SPEC V is super and if you're in the market for an affordable 200hp with a major shot of real performance in a small package, then, the sentra se-r spec v is for you...l8tr tail g8tr....read morehide

- Great fuel economy.
I fell in love with the look of the car when I first looked at it. I took it for a test drive and knew this was the one. I am 40 years old and drive 150 miles a day. I must say it is comfortable. To top it off it is great fun to drive. There is plenty of room for adults in the back seat. I am glad I found and bought this car. I cannot come up with anything I dislike about it....read morehide

- great mileage, good interior space and looks, fast and nimble
- can't fold down rear (v- brace), no rear seat cup holders
Even the Honda Civic Si guys like it. Since it is a fun commuter car, the back seats should have a cup holder. other than that - greate mileage in town driving on unleaded. Shifting a bit clunky 1-2, but after another month, I'll get used to it.
