- Great looks - interior and exterior, nice power, lots of room

Its been a year now that I bought this car and I have not had a single problem with it....i simply love this car, its awesome...I see more and more people buying this car now. The 08 model just rocks. I love the interiors (with the sport seats and stiched steering wheel, g meter) and the exterior shape is the best I like in all mid-size sedans....I compared with civic/jetta and i loved this car and I'm very happy that i made the right choice....
The SE-R might not give you much mileage, but the looks and power beat that...i can give up on mileage a bit.......read morehide

- SPECV-great milage, good for tall people, great performance and good solid ride. Good on snow.
- Manual shift has had a problem with 2nd gear and has been to dealer once already (within 6 months)
My kids car, but I helped look with him. I have Acura TL, Nissan Titan and other cars in the family include 2002 Mazda Protege, Chrylser Sebrig Coupe, Jeep Cherokees and Ford 150 (all 2000 or newer). For the money, the Sentra SE-R Spec V not only provides a fun ride, it is also comfortable and practical for 6 footers. The 2007 Acura TL gets slightly better highway mileage (30), but the SE did 29 MPG while getting 25-26 in the city. With more room the the Honda Civic, it is a car I enjoyed driving and know my 20 something son enjoys when he commutes. The Sentra has been knocked for its looks, but the SPEC V with its trim and wheels really stands out. It has impressed a long time friend who continually buys Corvettes, Vipers etc and ohter upscale sports and utility vehicles. He sometimes wishes he had something that was less gas thirsty so he could do his part for the environment. So for any of the professional reviewers who harp on its looks, get used to it. Its a different world out there today...smaller...more efficient while retaining comfort and fun. Greate range of capabilities; from blowing someone off the starting line to comfortably commuting....read morehide

- Interior design, fuel economy, quality of options, trim package
- G meter for what? Audio controls on steering wheel an option, CVT takes some getting used to
I had been in the market for a newer car for the past 3 months. After testing out several cars including Mazdas, Fords, Dodges, Toyotas, and other Nissans, I settled on the SE-R and I believe that I made a VERY wise decision. The interior is refined, functional, and comfortable, if not a little sparse. The engine performance with the CVT (no use for a manual when you drive mostly city) is extremely competent and pleasing, though it may be lacking for those in the market for more performance. The gauge clusters are well placed and everything in the cabin is well within reach (most of the time). The optional Rockford Fosgate sound system performs admirably. Overall, I believe that I will own this car for quite some time given my previous experience with Nissan (my last Sentra made it 160,000 miles, no engine problems!)....read morehide
