The Versa proves that you CAN get a car that is both roomy and efficient at a decent price. We bought our 2011 1.8S hatchback with about 40K on it, and all it really took for them to sell it to us was for us to sit in it. I am 6' 3" and my son is 4 inches taller...small cars are just not practical for us, but the Versa fits us perfectly. The seats aren't terribly comfortable, but for the room and the fuel economy (we have yet to get worse that 33 mpg) we'll make that compromise. We like it so much we're already sizing ourselves up for another Versa sometime in the next few years, maybe with the CVT, which is supposed to get even better mileage....read morehide

After driving all of its competitors I had to pick the Versa, it just felt best to me. Couldn't believe how roomy it is, I am 6'1" and i plenty of room, and I can even sit in the back seat without moving the seats forward. Unheard of in most cars short of fullsize. The comfy ride won me over too, it takes away from the handling, but with better wheels and tires this car could become more sporting. Drove the 2013 and was very disappointed with, lost something over the original. Overall happy with my choice....read morehide

I got this model after my 2011 Sentra, which i wrote about in another review, was totalled as it was parked.

Same is 2011 and my 2010 model also. Saw the pictures of the 2013 Nissan Versa Note. It's been redesigned with bells and whistles. The 2013 model has the same engine and horsepower as the 2012/13 Nissan Versa hatchback. So, i'm done with Nissan. Beside which, Nissan doesn't trade if you haven't had the car long enough. Didn't have the issue with trading my 2010 model for the 2011 Sentra....read morehide

Stay away from this car. If you can afford a little more, get better car like Matrix, Corrolla, or used Accura
It is cheap, I know, but I will never be this cheap to get stuck with something like ever again.

Overall this car is a good buy. I'm not very happy with the gas mileage. On a full tank I'm getting 330 miles Highway and if I drive City I get 280. This is a far cry from what they advertised it for. Also I've noticed a forward bump when the care downshifts from 3rd to 2nd. It occurs at around 25 miles an hour. The backseat is equally exceptional in space, the depth of the back bench seat allows for the comfort of all of my passengers without forcing me to move my seat to accomadate their height needs. Engine blew with 50K. Dealer outright refused to repair since I had not had the oil changed at the dealer. To that point I was a life long Nissan driver. I will never own another and I have and will continue to talk others out of buying this brand.

It is an affordable car. I have 17,000 miles on the vehicle and no problems yet. The air conditioner/heater unit is the worst I have ever had. You have to turn it on full blast, and you still barely feel anything. Then when you roll the back window down, it makes a consistant thuding noise that hurts your ears. You have to roll the window back up. Check the air unit before you purchase this car, you may decide not to get it. One thing that is positive is that it runs smooth and is quiet. The radio even automatically turns down when you slow down or stop. Then turns up as you speed up. Never seen anything like that. Its a vehicle with nothing to brag about. You get what you pay for.
