- Very roomy & comfortable 30+ mpg, good but not meeting the ratings, and the steering is very precise
- Despite the very roomy and comfortable interior and ride, plus the good mileage, it is kinda homley.
We have put 2500 miles on the new Versa Sedan SL CVT automatic in the 2 months we have had it. The variable electric steering is light and easy in a parking lot and tight and quick on the highway. Most of my miles have been at 70-80 mph freeway speeds and the CVT transmission is amazing once you get used to the cruise control revving the engine from 2500 to 5000 rpm as you climb a hill at 75 mph. The speed however doesnt vary a bit. The CVT also can be put in overdrive off mode, (which seems to lock it in a medium gear ratio) that is very useful if you are on steep twisty mountain roads where you need to have engine braking and throttle control to negotiate the curves without using the brakes. You just wont believe the passenger room and trunk space. The car should be rated in the Civic, Corolla, Focus class of cars for space and comfort. Ahh if it just looked as sharp as the new larger Sentra.
