- Cons
- cd player, cruise control and got mine without antilock brakes
Purchased As New
I have had this car almost 5 years and we have been through so much together! I love this car. Now that I have fully tested it I would totally buy another! In the beginning I had to learn its quirks. I learned the hard way the very first models did not always have anti-lock brakes but i think 2007 was the only year with that design. The cd player took 4 years in the AZ sun to crap out. Pretty good! AZ is hard on cars and despite random things the sun does to cars I have not had much maintenance put into this car besides the regular upkeep of tires and oil changes. I get the best gas mileage out of all my friends! I feel totally secure going everywhere with this car! I have been blessed to have this car! Cruise control or the lack there of in the 2007 model stinks but hey I stay awake! This car has the power to be a long lasting low maintenance car!!...read morehide

- Pros
- roomy&comfortable
- Cons
- air&heat systems inferior,gas mileage claims inaccurate
Gas mileage claims are exaggerated, not even close, Nissan should be taken to task for lying about the most important reason for buying a small car.

- Pros
- love the intelagent key system, roomy for small car. gas milage.CVT Transmition
- Cons
- Light weight you get tossed around when 60miles and over when windy or rutts in road.
I was considering the Toyota Corrola. But decieded on the nissan versa becasuse of the CVT Transmittion and intelangent key and gas milage. So far the fuel milagei is a little overstated but... 30miles city is great! I was driving a Subaru outback before and this little car is a lot lighter so I'm not use to that yet. I would recomend it!...read morehide

- Pros
- Power, great on the road, and very roomy
- Cons
- BRAKE FAILURE and over-stated mileage
I am sorely disappointed in Nissan in the way they dealt with the repeated brake failure of my new 2007 Versa.
I absolutely love the car, but am disappointed in the mileage, which at the time was advertised at 30-36. We are getting 22-23 and 30 on the road. The car cannot be compared to the Honda Fit or Civic or Toyta Celica or Yaris, as those other cars weigh about 2250 pounds and the Versa 3200+. With all-around air bags, it has to be safer. The Versa (with CVT transmission) is probably capable of doing around 150 miles per hour, and is quite good on the road. HOWEVER...
Back to my brakes. For about a week or more, the power assist on the brakes totally failed. There were two situations where it almost created a problem for me. I would not let my 17 year old 125 pound daughter drive the car. Nissan had factory technicians look at the car, and they could not find a problem.
I wrote them another letter, and some little girl, with no knowledge of cars, calls me to talk to me. The conversation was better suited in a Jay Leno monologue.
I asked Nissan, in writing, that if only one or two parts could cause this problem, why don't they replace them. They do not want to answer my question, and they only tell me that they can find nothing wrong with the brakes.
WOULD THIS MAKE YOU COMFORTABLE DRIVING A NISSAN VERSA?...read morehide1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- 4 Monster comfort, gas $20-24 per week, Quick Acceleration, Great Buy
- Cons
- NONE...over 8000 miles and no problems
I Study, test drove, and read reviews on many models. This is the BEST POSSIBLE BUY of the YEAR!!! With back and neck injuries, this car is the easiest to get into with it's high roof. The roomiest, most comfortable for the price. A solid well built car. When the car is running in the driveway you cannot hear it. The doors seal is excellent. I bought the sedan model with a roomy trunck that provides additional crumple zone protection. I have a heavy foot, so I average 27 mpg city. My son loved the car, so he bought one. We will buy another as soon as possible....read morehide

- Pros
- I LOVE THIS CAR! Great gas mileage. With gas prices over $3 a gal., I'm smiling @ a $26-29 fillup!
- Cons
- Excellerates quickly & revs loudly. Doesn't bother me though...it's 4 cylinder!
I have the hatchback as I wasn't quite ready to give up the storage my mini-van afforded. Very roomy! My 6.2ft son has plenty of leg room in front and back. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. Great gas mileage. 13 gal tank-fill up lasts me all week on my commute to/from work and then some! Cruise control, blue tooth, 6 CD changer (GREAT SOUND SYSTEM), radio controls on steering wheel, Ipod ready, Auto locks, smart key ignition....everything I wanted at a GREAT price. I drove all the comps from Honda, Chevy, Toyata, Mitzubishi, etc. I DIDN'T GO WRONG WITH MY CHOICE. EXCELLENT SAFETY RATING TOO! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE VERSA!!...read morehide

- Pros
- great fuel economy, large inside, fun car to drive, great get up and go
- Cons
- didnt offer leather
wow...i love this car. i have had it a month now and put on 3000 miles already. I do 130 mile daily commute, with a combination of freeway use and then over a mountain. My Versa handles great on the steep mountain I climb. This car has great guts for such a small car. The gas mileage is averaging 30 mpg but i also have a heavy foot too.
I bought this car as a commuter car, I got it fully loaded and got an amazing deal due to dealers closing out the 2007's. Love the blue tooth and the stereo system is pretty good. But what has impressed me the most is that I have a 2003 Altima, and the interior room especially the rear leg room is comperable to the Altima. I do believe the leg room is greater in the versa. And the trunk space is ample. So much so that we have taken the versa on family trips instead of the Altima. I may look into selling my Altima because i love my Versa so much!!
Another huge plus is that the car sits up higher so you do not feel like you are driving a little mini car. The safety ratings are what really sold me on this car. I hope that i never have to utilize them..but gives me a better feeling knowing me and my kids are pretty well protected if anything should happen on our commute.
I would recommend this car to ANYONE!!! I love it, my friends even comment i smile so much when i drive it... LOL...read morehide0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.
