2013 Nissan Xterra User Reviews
S 4X2 shown
- $22,940 - $30,490
- Rugged Solid Looks, Strong 4.0 liter engine, Durable interior
- All Plastic interior, excessive engine noise, MP3 not base option
Purchased As Used
Putting all the plastic aside this SUV is a rugged durable 4X4. If you want or need a SUV with a no nonsense sensibility then the Nissan Xterra is your ride. I recently purchase my Xterra and it is a joy to ride and has tons of usable space. It goes where I want it and I can load it up with furniture the size of a love seat. The rear interior is mostly durable plastic and I don't have to worry about tearing up any carpet.
I find the power my Xterra produces is as aggressive as the engine sound in the interior cabin. It has enough power to get up to good speed on any highway and I've already put it through the test of pulling a 5 x 10 uhaul trailer. It does it with ease.
The suspension is the same as base make up as Nissan 4X4 pickup and it isn't like the car like ride of your crossover SUV's. Yet the ride is comfortable and it handles heavy and hard bumps and divots in the worse roads.
I've driven the Nissan Pathfinder and Armada and they both have softer car like rides and much plushier interiors to compete with Toyota's 4runner and Sequoia. Yet, I preferred the Xterra because it just felt tougher and more Jeep like. You won't like the Xterra if you're not into aggressive no-fuss design in and out. The Xterra will appeal to you if you are like me and want a tough looking, strong running 4X4....read morehide
