| Pros: | Absolutely the most fantastic car in the world! Stylish, very very fast, loaded with luxury... |
| Cons: | No cons at all...Design perfection |
I simply cannot say enough about how fantastic this car is in every possible respect. This car is an absolute rocket, yet rides like a dream. The handling is superb. Quiet, luxurious, roomy,...everything I want in a car. AND the Nissan Dealer in San Juan Capistrano, California gave us the absolutely best service when we bought the car...

| Pros: | Handles nasty weather very well, rides great, quiet, substantial size, solid |
| Cons: | CVT takes some getting used to, no rain-sensing wipers, premium fuel |
This is a great car. Was considering a 2008 Acura TL, but in the end, the Maxima won. This is the Maxima SV with Sport & Technology packages -- electronics galore. I've owned several European makes and this is every bit as safe, stable, and substantial - with a lot fewer problems. This is light years ahead of the 1991 Maxima I bought new & drove for years - and knowing how well that one did is what swayed me to buy this one. Gas mileage is improving as I put more miles on it - averaging 21.5 in town right now. Styling of this new model is truly unlike anything on the road, which I like. I've never owned a car with the CVT transmission, so that's taken some getting used to. I've also gotten used to cars with rain sensing wipers, which this one doesn't have. Personally, given what this car is, I think that's a big miss for Nissan, but I'll probably get over it. Overall this is a great car - a friend of mine who sells cars said it well - this new Maxima is actually nicer than the Infinitis, which sell for a lot more - I wonder what Nissan will do now to elevate the Infiniti... hmmm... If you're considering a new mid-to-large car, at least check out the Maxima before you sign on the dotted line... Given Nissan's reliability and what you get for the money, it was a smart choice for us.

| Pros: | Great looks, Great Performance, Awsome V6, handles great. |
| Cons: | Torque steer,High Price for a Nissan,Road noise,rough ride, Leather is cheap,expensive options, |
I was impressed with the performance of this Maxima But there was way too much torque steer. Other manufacturerers reduced torque steer in their front wheel drive models. Why can`t Nissan? The interior is a huge improvement but the leather feels cheap and the dash board materials are just average. The car handles beautiful in corners but there is still too much road noise and you feel every bump. The design is above average for a Nissan but still it has its Nissan fit and finish problems. The engine has always been Nissans strong point and you can hear the quality in the V6. As for the price I feel its way too much for a Nissan Maxima. The dealers are charging full price and some are charging 1000 more than sticker. Why? There is a lot of competition out there for 36k. The back seats are still a little tight and you can tell that head room in the back will be an issue for tall adults. I owned 2 Maximas prior and I decided Not to spend this much money on the new generation. I had drove it 4 times from 4 different dealers. I rather purchase a new V6 Accord for 27k. At least its quiet and roomier inside. Also found that other Japanese makes are competitive. I was very disapointed because I had my hopes up to purchase the new Maxima. Nissan your not BMW, LEXUS, MERCEDES,so stop acting like you are.
I will pass on this one.

| Pros: | Everything! Looks, gadgets (love the bluetooth), comfort and the way heads turn when they see it! |
| Cons: | As for all the review begore mine I have no idea what they are talking about?!?! There aren't any!!! |
I have had many new cars before, from the Mercedes ML to my Lexus. This car is an incredible value for the money. I did my research before I purchased the 2009. It blew the other cars in its class away because optional features on the other cars were standand my Maxima... heated steering, mirrors, fog lights, NICE 18" wheels, power driver & passanger seats, etc. The new body style is so sporty yet classy. It drives like a dream. I recommend it to everyone that has any common sense!

| Pros: | great looking car - price tag reasonable for a luxury look |
| Cons: | fuel economy is not good considering you must use premium gas - trunk too small for size of car - |
Looks better than its 2008 competition and is well priced but that's where the good news ends for this vehicle. Handling is okay but not fullfilling. Driving it doesn't make you want to have one. Lexus ES 350 and Acura TLS better choices for the money from a driver's perspective.
Big mistake in offering the S model. Should only sell the SV model, the S model is irrelevant. It downgrades the vehicle. Nissan has made the Maxima design distinctive from the Altima but the Altima is still a better value.
Initially Nissan should sell a bunch of these cars in 09 but in successive years once the newness drops off, this car will be a tough sell. Watch resale values drop like a lead balloon when competitors come out with newer models that get better gas mileage using regular unleaded gas.

| Pros: | Nice stereo, smooth ride, great acceleration |
| Cons: | No wheel locks, |
I got one this week, SV with Sport Pkg, and I love it. Looks amazing, drives just as well. i've never had a variable transmission but I'm quite impressed. I've noticed in the city the transmission seems to get caught in too high a gear occasionally (like trying to drive 25 in 3rd-4th gear) but it quickly corrects itself. It makes up for it in lighting fast acceleration on the highway. The stereo is quite nice and the auxiliary port is perfect for those with ipods like me who don't want/need the premium upgrade! Mine however did not come with wheel locks, and I haven't checked yet but I'm sure these 19" wheels/tires are expensive and desired by those who'd rather not pay for them. I'd definitely invest in those.

| Pros: | powerful, comfortable, smooth, aggressive looking, beautiful, great features, BOSE sound system |
| Cons: | when you put the rear windows down they do not go all the way into the door frame |
I absolutely love this car, it is still surreal to me that I own this vehicle. I upgraded from my 96 Honda Accord 4 Dr LX to a 09 Nissan Maxima SV SP. Of course there is a huge difference and my 96 Accord can't compare to this but I'm being honest that this car is amazing. Although I liked the new design of the Maxima, I was hesitant with the design of the rear but when I went to the dealership and saw this car in person it looks so much better, especially with the rear spoiler on it. I got the Sport Package that has the 19in alloy rims and spoiler upgrade and it's is so beautiful. I am one of the few, if not the only, person to have this car in my area so far, I see a lot of eyes and heads turning when I'm driving. The standard features are great and convienent to use, the seating is comfortable and so is the ride, A LOT of space in the rear for passengers (leg room), more than you think. The BOSE sound system is amazing and sounds great, steering is smooth as well as the handling. One of my favorite things about the car is when you push the start button and the engine starts it sounds so "aggressive" and when you punch the gas the thing sounds mean, but don't get me wrong, it's not loud and annoying, it's just... sporty. The only thing I do not like about the car is that the rear windows do not go down all the way into the door frame, when you put the windows down at it's lowest, the window is still 3-4 inches visible.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAR

| Pros: | The bad-boy of Nissan, has all needed luxuries and most desired comforts. Worth every dollar. |
| Cons: | Gas mileage is not the best, but driving this car will make anyone not mind paying a few more bucks. |
It is an excellent car, well-rounded, gives you the confort and luxury you'd expect from an Infiniti. The aggressive look will get everyone looking, and driving this babe-magnet feels like you're glyding through the air, I call it my sidekick. One tip: If you're willing to get one of these in your hands, buy Techology or Premium Package; 30 grand will never be spend any better than that.

| Pros: | Unbelievable acceleration and handling. Italian styling-unheard of in a car in this price range. |
| Cons: | Hard to see when backing up. Too many gadgets. |
The styling of this car reminded me of an italian sports car. Aggressive lines and flare. Powerful engine and unbelievably comfortable ride and handling is going to lead to a speeding ticket. During the test drive, I managed to climb to 85 and never realized it. Kudos to Nissan for once again giving the Maxima a place all it's own in the fleet.
